Here's a video of the beheading of innocent civilians taken hostage apparently by the ASG in Basilan or some other place in Sulu. I myself cannot fathom the atrocities of these people. We will never know how often this is happening down there. As shown in this footage, it is very clear that they are enjoying what they are doing. They have no respect for human life. Even if these poor people are members of the military, CVOs, police, or CAFGUs, they don't deserve to be murdered like this. The sad thing is that, these murderers justify their deeds in the name of Islam. I believe that this is a big slap to the face of our Muslim countrymen. Worse, Filipino Muslims who have no hand in this will be dragged into the same pot of discrimination. I won't wish, I won't hope, I won't ask, but I beg the government to put an end to this. In war, it is unavoidable to have civilian casualties as a result of crossfire or collateral damage, but this is clearly deliberate. I've heard and read many times before that terrorists (ASG, MILF, MNLF alike) pour their anger over the civilians because they can't retaliate on the military. That is why if they do get the chance to ambush our troops, they would happily behead them dead or alive. Note that in this video, the victims are innocently behaving accordingly. One even made the sign of the cross before being tied up. They know they will die, despite the murderers' assurances that they will get out of it, but somehow they cooperated and accepted the fact that that was their end. I admire their courage. They never spoke out, they never begged for their lives, they never cried out in pain. It made me emotional and very angry. What angered me most is that after they were beheaded, their bodies were being kicked around, cursed upon, and their heads were made fun of. How inhuman is that? The government and its AFP is supposed to be the protector of the people, where were they? How could they allow this to happen? How could they allow these groups to continue to exist? Worse, the GRP is even in a truce/peacetalk/negotiation with these groups. They should not talk with them, let the guns do the talking. This conflict in Mindanao has been going on for decades and hundreds of thousands have already died. Enough is enough! Before you click the link below, be advised that this is extremely disturbing. If you are faint-hearted or suffering from any form of anxiety disorder, I advise you not to watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ8lPfSCAvk...kipcontrinter=1 Let's share this through the internet. I wonder why this never reached the hands of major TV networks. Better yet, let us share this to the higher-ups in the government and the military. What good are new multi-role fighters and ships if this is happening in our own backyard? For a while, let us stop wondering what is the best tank or best OV-10 replacement. Let us do our part in putting an end to this. |

@dodgeball they are KFR victims not combatants which is really sad, the video is already with 2 when it started circulating through text messaging, it has also gone international because it has gone viral on fb. since you are a normal, decent human being you are appalled by such barbaric act, look at the reactions of the ASG executioners, they are still laughing ..... these are not human beings nor revolutionaries but demonized criminals the minute they demanded ransom.

These are the same footage that pushed Erap for his all "out war" in 2000. It has been 11 years now but did it end? |

The most significant event that provoked ERAP into his "all war" was the bombing of a ferry in Ozamis City. AZKALS is right, he would have finished them off if he wasn't impeached. What happened next are the peace talks. In my opinion, these peace talks are only prolonging this conflict. How about we take the Sri Langkan example. They thought enough was enough and once and for all they vanquished the Tamil Tigers. I can't see why we can't do the same. |
