Gazmin orders AFP: Get Asnawi

Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin has vowed to capture Dan Laksaw Asnawi, the fugitive commander of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Basilan, even as he assured the public that no bloodshed would occur.

Voltaire, who is determined to get Asnawi 'dead or alive', has also ordered the military to serve the warrants of arrest against the MILF commander, blamed for the attack on the Special Forces troops in Al-Barka on October 18 that killed 19 soldiers.

He visited Zamboanga on Thursday and conferred with top military officials on the situation in Basilan Province. He also flew to Basilan to check on the situation in the province and to relay President Benigno Aquino III’s message to the soldiers.

The AFP should study how the Colombian military killed the FARC leader Alfonso Cano as posted here by asianobserve:

It's not enough to overran the enemy camps then declare victory even though most of the enemy fighters and their leaders escaped. :armyroleyes:
