Anti-Moro groups here in Mindanao are just waiting for an excuse and a reason to go to war and wipe the MILF once and for all and to ensure that the US influence here in Mindanao is limited as many here do not trust the Americans especially those who are not swayed by the American charm offensive.

The Moro's perception that they have the right to the lands that they do not have any documentation and evidence to support their ancestral links to the lands. That is why the Moro's will never get any inch or grain of land from the legitimate owners of the land as these are paid for and are titled by the people and the government of the Philippines.

By the way we pay our land taxes and they did not. No land for the Moro's and that is final they should give up their dream and be contented with the present setting.

If they want our land then buy it at the real estate market. I am selling land here in Mindanao, commercial lot 5,000 pesos per square meters. If they have the money buy it but if they don't then go back to the mountain.

The Moro's have no right to the lands here and that is a fact. The Moro's are not entitled to the lands owned by the Christian majority and that is also a fact.

The Moro's have no right to the lands here and that is a fact. The Moro's are not entitled to the lands owned by the Christian majority and that is also a fact.

that line of thinking is what's fueling the war.

Mindanao is not for a particular group or religion alone.

it's for anyone who has legal rights to it.

it is also unfair to put it as if not a single Moro owns a land there.

many of our Moro brothers own lands too and they even have palaces.

they have to accept the "fact" that in this modern times, people from the Visayas, Luzon, and even abroad have come to Mindanao to invest and share the beauty and bounty of Mindanao.

the same thing happens in the Visayas and Luzon wherein Moslems from Mindanao have migrated to Manila, Cebu, Baguio and other parts to enjoy the beauty and bounty as well.

in this we can see how the modern times work. people from elsewhere migrate to areas where there's better livelihood opportunity.

for those people like the MILF leadership who wants a separate area of control that they can MANIPULATE for their own selves, it will not prosper.

this is not about religion.

some warlords and landlords of the past are simply trying to amass more lands that they can control and manipulate for themselves.

we've seen that in the administration of the Ampatuans.

being a Moro doesnt guarantee that you will really serve the wishes of the majority. you will MAKE THEM SERVE YOUR PURPOSE. you will make them forever indebted and dependent on you.

in the process, you keep them your slave and doing the work for you.

many perceptive readers know this already.

they are simply using the plight of the impoverished majority and religion as their battlecry.

but the real gameplan is to use them to fight for the war in behalf of these greedy elites and warlords.

not to save them but to simply use them for their own selfish ambitions.

to balance it all, we still must let the peace process take its course to save lives.

we cannot allow a system that will make these elites have full control of the area.

ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS as they say. especially, when all they wanted is to live like Kings and Sultans instead of serving the poor majority.

for those who will not embrace peace, we shall rain them with the fury of the military.

we have to support the peace process but we must apply the full might of the military if they will insist their selfish demands.

The Moro's demand a land of their own and if I am not wrong the Muslims are not that free in the Visayan region especially in Cebu as they view the Moro threat clearly and has measures in place in ensure the Moro's presence is limited and if needed removed. That is the reason why the Muslims in Cebu are not that aggressive as they know that they will be eliminated and taken cared off by the locals.

Many in Cebu view the Moro's as a threat and that is the reason why my mom whom is Cebuana hates the Moro's especially the Southerner Cebuano's to whom I belong into.

Our Moro brothers have the right to own lands in Mindanao, historically they did own what they occupied before and when the spaniards came, when these colinizers came they divided the country as all other nations who where colonized had the same problem why do you think we have the Sabah claim, the Brits altered the real bounderies. and the documents and title of course those are altered and doctored too. some of our moro brothers claim of their land are true, and yes they have no papers to support this because they have been screwed up by the colonizers and now the corporations and plantations. But the peace process must proceed and the government should entitle them some lands to diffuse this war or else its not going to stop even if all their rebel leaders are killed and captured, new ones will just take over the continue the struggle. The MILF now it seems is getting stronger and their authority in the areas they control, they will be more stronger in future if the government will keep on dragging its feet on this problem. what do we know on their supporters abroad. where do they get their money. soon they will have more cruserve weapons like anti aircraft missiles that went missing in Libya. the offensive must continue and destroy the MILF camps and assets if they refuse to cooperate and turnover the fugutives, offensive must focus now on airstrikes and even naval bombardment of know targets. the destruction of their camps will make their life more miserable and cutting supply lines. At the same time we need to get along with moderate muslims and I also agree that muslims migrating to Luzon and Visayas need to be monitored and controlled for security reasons for now until the war in Mindanao is ended. as we all know a handful of moro terrorists can really terrorize a big city like even Manila as we have seen in the past plus their sucidal missions are hard to stop.

The untalked sector of the war is the diplomatic side. If the Philippines can't help being incompetent in the military side of the war, it cannot afford to be incompetent in diplomacy. Of particular concern is the vascilating attitude of the US.

i believe there's no need for replacing ARMM.

what has been hampering the growth of Mindanao are these selfish warlords, who are fooling their followers by using Islam and jihad as their reason.

they are derailing development efforts and shooing away investors.

i would suggest simply refining the ARMM.

if they wont agree to that, then let's end this war once and for all by using the full might of the military just like in the Summer 2000 campaign.

it's the bitter pill that we have to swallow.

to be fair with our Moro brothers, we will give the peace process one more chance.

after that, let's hunt down those who will keep the fight for their selfish goals.

Mindanao and poor majority of the Moro people including the Visayans and other groups deserve to enjoy livelihood and opportunities for a better life.

that is our battlecry and we will crush these warmongers, saboteurs, terrorists, criminals and warlords once and for all.

Keeing and refining the ARMM is acceptable but their should be no more talk on any sub-state idea and that should be final.

yes the ARMM should be reformed and should be constantly check by the central government if they are doing the right things serving their areas as agreed. in the meantime the offensives must continue to hunt the JIs and ASGs and MILF violators or rougue, the MILF cannot say they cannot turn over their rougue elements until some conditions are met, thats a bluff, they should not be dictating too much on the government they are already talking and acting like a independent state, can you imagine if they get their sub state status. they will build their own armed forces really fast and will be harder to contain them. so the aireal strikes is effective and must continue to deny them safe areas. they can live in jungles and die with malaria and with continous offensives and airstrikes from time to time will make life harder for them there should also be a reward for the heads of their leaders dead or alive.
