just an idea and suggestion; how about if the AFP hire local military contractors to fill in the gaps in securing and patrolling the coastlines including uninhabited islands which are two thirds of the archipelago. this will create jobs for the veterans, they are already trained. and they should authorized to shoot back if shot at and as long as they killed or captured rebels, terrorists, smugglers, pirates, bandits, kidnappers then they are authorized to shoot and apprehend. because right now im sure there are lots of these criminals roaming throughout the archipelago and the Navy and Airforce do not have the resources to patrol and watch it. this can be done while the AFP is waiting long for its modernization and increase of its strength. In the meantime at least we have security in our coasts and borders and if the military contractors need back up all they have to do is call PAF or PN. I can form my own team of contractors. |
