let them quit now.

if they can't follow the President's order, they don't deserve to lead the men below.

WHAT THEY ONLY KNOW IS MILITARY STRATEGY.

THE DEEPER COMPREHENSION ON THE WHOLE ASPECT IS WITH THE PRESIDENT AND HIS TEAM.

These are all just the front of a wider picture that we see, clearly they are trying to make as shoot our own foot, we have to think outside the box all the time.

All of these happennings will result to backlash of everything from our growing Economy, Loosing Foreign Investors trust, demoralization of the Military and will result to delays or failure of AFP Modernizations.

There are powerful elements infiltrating our system either "Sun tzu" is at work or a more deeper or stronger element is at work... Which ever they are.. it all favours them!

Worst thing is we don't know whom to trust... :dunno:

there's an action to slap the evil hands behind it.

1) since some want a war to happen, which is counter-productive at these times, THEN NO TO WAR.

2) for PNoy, get rid of any senior military officer who wont follow your order or imply that they know better than the President's view.

3) support the modernization program because it is one way to help end these battles.

4) back the peace process but imply that war remains an option if talks fail.

5) support socio-economic development to diffuse negative feelings from our Moro brothers

6) unite with pro-peace Moro groups like students, business and clergy

^^In fairness of coup plotters, if their main objection is to do a better job than the current administration, and ulitimately be able to stop the yellow gangsters in the philippines, and finally can guaranteed a federalism or charter change will be implemented then by all means, they should kick PNoy's ass ASAP! But this is without compromising the present modernization plans and the peace process with the MILF, unless like what i said before if they can inflict a permanent damage to the enemies of the state then go for it. :armycheers:

Spear,
I'm afraid any happenings like this within the AFP not to mention not getting along with the Govt. will definetely affect future FMS from other Countries particularly the US, we will not be getting what we wish for especially Missiles, Rockets or maybe even MRF's, AH's and all that can be used by possible Military Coup plotters against the Govt.

The problems within the AFP maybe.. are divided the first one would be, some AFP Officials and Soldiers are mislead and demoralized and Second one would be those old supporters of previous administrations the pro "Pabaon" the pro WAR but with a hidden agenda to make money out of it by selling.. you know what I'm talking about??? not even the "Magdalo" boys can't deny, part of the reason of their existence!

On another point of view, maybe these are all part of a BiG Game that we are in and the time has come for them to turn off the flow or close the tap for us.. Some people really doesn't want us to grow and prosper.

Let's also consider the Art of Sun Tzu is in the works, slowly penetrating our weak and corrupt system that is the best recipe for them to succeed...

The only best thing for PNoy's Govt. is to be one and united with the "Right Opposition" and work together, address the needs of the Military, go after the particular culprits who ambushed those Govt. Soldiers.

My guess was, he acted slow and with a different approach, insisting the peace talks and rebukes the all out war idea, but as a Govt in scenarios like this, the first action should be to go after those particular culprits responsible, I agree with the idea of selective Strikes only and not all out war, because not all MILFs I believe wanted these to happen considering their recent TRUCE meeting...

I think it's all got something to do with PNoy's inexperienced reaction combined with his OA reactions and ideas that really doesn't fit when your a Leader running a Country. We can say some stupid ideas catching up really...

Let's hope that he'll find a way to put out the fire as quickly as possible!
God help the Philippines... :salute:

the best way for Pnoy to save the situation and avert another coup is just try to do his job what is the norm like majority of the Armed Forces now wants retaliation from the moro rebels but then he does not want an all out war then he should tell his military commanders that ok the peace talks continue but go ahead and conduct selected surgical strikes to inflict some damage to the enemy at least. Pnoy also need to prioritize the immediate needs of the modernization now like more new choppers both utility and attack to provide medevac and air support for the next fire fights of similar magnitude. these new choppers anyway is part of the external defense build up so at this time the sooner he gets this choppers is like hitting 2 birds in one stone.

Pnoy also need to order the intelligence services that he can trust to start counter intel for any possible brewing discontent if any. lets hope none as this will bring the country back to whatever it gained, he may need the help of the Magdalos for advice and support. His decision to relieved 2 senior officers in the Army is just about right. Such actions are necessary to weed out incompetent officers and put in place more qualified officers and will boost morale. Last but not the least he will need the support of the citizens for this. sanamagan i hope this don't turn ugly. such problems and weaknesses will make us prawns again by regional powers.

PNoy is doing fine.

he ruled out the all-out war but stressed that it remains an option.

the selective strikes are ongoing as well to hunt down the perpetrators.

PNoy was right when he sacked the spokesman, that guy didnt know what he's doing.

the relief of the others was necessary to warn the rest of being irresponsible commanders for lack of planning and simply sitting on their asses and not doing their job on ensuring a successful operation.

by the way, as for the destab plot, let's play on this fictitious story made just for fun.

THE BIG DEAL

- A conversation by 2 leaders from 2 countries

SING KIT: Hey, dude! The last deal we had was okay when you allowed us to take Mischief Reef in exchange for your huge golf course and your super mall in Indonesia. You fooled your countrymen big-time on that. hahaha. I have another request. We need the oil badly and we can tap the oil reserves in the Spratly's. You simply must derail or at least delay the modernization program so we can proceed in putting our oil rigs there.

GENERAL BUKBOK: but im not the President any longer. And im so sorry the regional military alliance we designed to replace the US MDT did not materialize. good thing my lady successor and friend gave you the opportunity to map and study the Spratly.

SING KIT: yes, that's why we need another opportunity to complete the plan. we were able to get in when you allowed us into Mischief Reef. then we now know what's below when your lady friend allowed us to do a study there. what's missing is putting the oil rigs now.

GENERAL BUKBOK. i understand that. so what do you want me to do?

SING KIT: i believe you have pawns in the military and friends who are still active in politics. come on, dude. how about another golf course and a bigger mall in malaysia this time?

GENERAL BUKBOK: let's see. hey i have guys in the senior staff. more than that i have influence on one of the best fighters in the military, the Black Dog Commandos, since i am their founder. i can simply create a big issue on this and compel President Noynoy to focus the military funds to the full scale war instead. If that happens, the modernization fund will be diverted to that and in rebuilding the economy. then you can now enjoy the continued weakness of our military. guess what? even my stupid pawns in the senior staff and my dumb friends in Congress dont know the whole plan. hahahaha.

SING KIT: i told you so! let's make it happen then!

GENERAL BUKBOK: a bigger golf course and a bigger mall in Malaysia, right?

SING KIT: we have billions of dollars to spend. no worries, dude.

GENERAL BUKBOK: ok. it's a deal.

I feel war will start agin in mindanao.
The death of the young officers and soldiers this month maybe the trigger.
And there death are planned by our goverment just to accelerate the modernization of our AFP.

an all out war with the MILFs will again push aside the plan AFP modernization specially for the navy and the air force.. this will definitely divert all funds to sustain the war.. and its not just gonna be bloody.. it will also hamper our economic goals...meaning higher inflation.. weaker peso.. further impoverishment for our people..This is without discounting the fact that the AFP must get rid of the rebels. but first we make sure we have more modern equiptment as well as well trained people.. meaning lets hope we can acquire more close air support and armor. There is wisdom in waiting for the right moment to strike.
