President Benigno Aquino III has expressed dismay at the military’s performance as of late, a military official said Friday.

Brigadier General Jose Mabanta Jr., Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, said that Aquino expressed at the command conference in Camp Crame, his dissatisfaction with the performance of the military since the attack of the three mining firms in Surigao del Norte.

Aquino ordered the AFP “to review the organization set up in very critical areas” in Jolo and Basilan, Mabanta said, adding that the Chief Executive ruled out an all-out war against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

let's all hope the 2 blunders (Surigao and Basilan) are not a part of the reported plot to destabilize the Aquino administration.

the culprit?

who else but the old gang.

the report on the destab has reached PNoy already as i learned.

then again, baka tsismis lang. :armyLol:

magmatiyag na lang kayo.

PNoy should not be that surprised. What can he expect from the AFP if the military personnels themselves are not properly equipped with the latest military hardwares?

This is why there are unhappy people who are against PNoy and the oligarchs.

Let's see if what type of CUH the philippine airforce is getting next month.

No proper and advance capable gunships, no much success against the rebels.

Therefore PNoy should act swiftly and fast. Either conduct a surgical strike to punish the rebels/ terrorrists, while suspending the peace talks and modifying the agreement into 2-way traffic. Or keep the peace talks in placed while granting the one way traffic agreement with the MILF and be stupid. This war will really never ends if he dont do what's needed to be done.

An all-out war may not be the answer, unless if they military can guarantee a permanent solution for a peace in mindanao by inflicting a permanent damage to the MILF and the rest of the muslim terrorrists.

i agree it will affect the performance of the AFP

the original number of MD520 was 24. the bronco was 24 too. now it's down to less than half the original.

imagine the small number and the not so powerful weapons load?

now, for the plotters, PNOy needs more on counter-intelligence.

another is winning the hearts and minds of the current leadership.

also, winning the hearts and minds of the soldiers below, by improving their lives AND MAKING THEM FEEL THAT FIGHTING IN THESE BATTLES REMAINS AN HONORABLE THING TO DO. making them feel they are risking their lives for an honorable cause.

^^Here's an example of another ambush by the rebels, though it was a swift recovery for the military by using a night-capable Huey (i assume its huey) to fly the wounded soldiers, 7 killed:

They did not elaborate which rebels they belong to, NPA or MILF.

Ito ang dahilan kaya against ako sa all-out war, too much taxes to be used every year or 200M/year, mabuti sana kung naaayos ang problema pero hindi eh:

This is part of the reason too why the number of squatters are a steady stream like running water in metro manila. Until the government could implement a strong political will to support the AFP modernization with decentralization of the economy, and its politics in the philippines, they will never see the light in time. Before everything is too late, and before the Armageddon comes.

i agree.

worse, buti kung pera lang ang nawawala.

eh yung buhay kaya?

in fairness,.... baka sila yung anay.

so dapat these people must prove us wrong and that they are not beholden to the past Presidents and former bosses in the AFP, DND and any from their gang.... of thieves.
