Agreed, they can attack us economically but what can stop them from directly using military force in asserting there dominance. I said it before unless our leadership start pulling it's head out of the sand and start seeing the possibilities and the reality of things we as a country looks weak and belittled by our neighbor. For years we have been attacked and bullied and in that span of history we tend to forget the hardship and just relay on other nations for defense. Sooner or later the Communist Party will have leaders that will not give in to threats of attack by nations that are thousands of miles away and they will establish a Chinese hegemony. I know a lot of people may think of me as a paranoid but look at history. Sooner or later in the vast bowel of the Communist Party of China it has a individual who is ultra-patriotic and will think in how superior they are and will not think of the consequences of going to war. |

China might have not won any major conflict but their is always a first time for anything and that includes victory in war. |

We need to have that P428B ($10B) AFP budget proposal passed ASAP!! However, I do not want $3 B to be spent just for 18 F-16 block 52s. Spending 1/3 of the entire AFP budget for just 18 F-16s is not sound esp. if we can get brand new 24-32 planes for $1B or less. |

The PAF's share on that $10B budget would probably be between 40-45% w/c is $4-4.5 B. There are a lot more equipment the PAF needs like SAMs, ground-based radars, MPAs, more transport planes, munitions, etc... |

The Article of Global Times seems to be a test. Test on what are the reactions of the Philippines, vietnam and even the United States. And this article started the "new cold war".

A new cold war is indeed coming up and the sooner we think about it and prepare for it makes it more realistic in preventing into becoming a full blown conflict. |

I believe the Chinese ICBM's are the DF-41 and DF-31 which are the new ones I believe. Not to mention the JL-1 and JL-2. |

But you know guys, i dont think china will ever attack any of the philippine cities. If this s@#t really happens, its gonna be just sinking or ripping apart all the AFP's obsolete military hardwares, and may in fact include its one and only modern warship the PF-15. We will never know but who knows, what if PNoy actually asked the chinese leader secretly to do this????? Yeah that sounds really stupid indeed but it could be true. That's gonna be hilarious though! With all that new declassifed infos of true characters of the Aquinos....? They wouldn't really hesitate to kill their fellow filipinos, brown filipinos and NOT the chinese-filipinos. ![]() But if PNoy's had a good intention after this, like lets say immediately modernize the whole AFP into one formidable military power in asia then why not, its ok for me if it will really serve the best interest of all filipinos just because PNoy (or the Aquino-Cojuanco clans including the Lopezes) is losing control of the government to get what they wanted. |
