Reactivating the Santa Barbara Project must be prioritize and must be considered by any future administration as our current administration seems to lack the needed drive for modernization and is viewed by other nations as weak.

The world needs to realize that a nuclear armed Philippines will happen and just simply live with it.

Yes I agree with you N, but first we need to have or develop something that will be important to them as well, something that will make us important to them regardless of anything, if ever the Nuclear Weapons Capability in the future, so they can't slap us with sanctions or whatever, it's just like having a bargaining chip or power...

In fact there is already a uranium prospection and exploration, and is being performed by Macro Asia Corp. http://www.wise-uranium.org/upasi.html

I just hope it is not yet to late to resolve our relations with China, however the number of hardliners in China is growing and they are becoming more aggressive and boastful.

But we must also consider that the Philippines is bound to the UN Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and Southeast Asian Nuclear-Weapon-Free-Zone Treaty, which the latter clearly states that members are obliged not to develop, manufacture or otherwise acquire, possess or have control over nuclear weapons.

If you think about it, it's only China's thick clouded mind, attitude of thinking they own the whole SCS/ WPS including NOT respecting other Nations EEZ Territories.

We are only protecting and claiming what is ours and not other Nations EEZ territories...

In my line of work we are trained to look at the body language and facial expression of people. During the meeting in which our nation and the other nations which are claiming the disputed islands in which China is a signatory on how to conduct business in the waters around the WPS or the EEZ I notice the Chinese representative reading the paper in which they signed and I notice that the way he was looking at it and talking about it made me concluded that for the Chinese that piece of paper was just as it is ONLY A PIECE OF PAPER.

That type of attitude that I notice is the same form of attitude that they are applying every time we talk to them. The Chinese speak in a position of power while we talk in the position of a beggar.

If Asia is a "Nuclear Free Zone", why do we allow nuclear powered and potentially nuclear armed ships into our ports and give them all the needed support. If Asia is truly Nuclear Free why is that nations like Japan and South Korea maintain the capability to go nuclear.

If we truly want a nuclear weapons free zone then we must follow New Zealand.
Did you know that the US has been asking New Zealand to lift it's nuclear band on naval ships.

Are you crazy? And then what?

China would probably not invade and occupy the country - why would they? That'd just cause them unnecessary problems: but they can virtually obliterate our armed forces within days and then freely navigate our seas and fly across our skies: and we cannot do anything about it at all.

The US was able to recover from its depression because of WWII, one might think that we could advance our self when war is declared!

The US can recover with a major war but we here in the Philippines will be dead.
