This is a open secret, even the activist in UP knew about this.

I think its already irrelevant since it occurred long ago. Not unless if its still here. is it? In that case, thats good news, we have nukes.

Wow you can imagine the US would do that. Hope they can do that again like deploying Patriot Batteries in our soil... their expense of course.
Modernization should prioritize:

Patrol Ships with air/sub/ship detection, fast & lightly armed for Navy.
Surface Attack Aircraft with anti ship/sub attack capability for Airforce.
SAM with Radars, Close AA battery capable of shooting ground targets too for Army.
This triangle defense will work together and protect us from external threats.

Lets just wait for China to invade us, only that time we will know they are still here.. Imagine..One of our mountains opening and giving way for deployment of the warheads..Interesting indeed.. :specool:

Some excerpts from the article...

Quote:

One of the documents discussed “Nuclear Weapons in the Philippines” saying that nuclear weapons are stored in the Philippines “have been there for many years.”

The big question is, are the nukes still there during those years up to now?

Quote:

It added the deployments of nuclear weapons reflected US and Nato war plans at the time as well as the conviction of US government officials that the deployments would demonstrate the U.S. commitment to the security of alliance partners around the world; it was a sign to an adversary that military action against a US ally carried the risk of escalating into nuclear warfare.

Hindi kaya dahil din dito kaya hindi rin basta basta nakakapag angas ang Tsina sa Pinas kahit na alam nilang wala tayong pwedeng pang depensa?

Quote:

“Contingency plans called for nuclear strikes launched from Clark Air Base (Philippines) and Kadena Air Base (Okinawa) in the event of a direct US-China military confrontation,” it added.

Does this mean meron ding nuclear silo sa Clark? And the US is expecting a confrontation with China... hmmm

Quote:

“As tensions with the Soviet Union finally ended during the late 1980s and early 1990s, however, the US government withdrew thousands of nuclear weapons from overseas bases, leaving only residual deployments of several hundred weapons in Nato Europe (Germany, Belgium, Italy and the United Kingdom),” it said.

Ibig sabihin ba neto wala na nukes sa Pinas?

The presence of nuclear weapons in our nation is very beneficial in terms of deterrence against China, but a lot of Anti-nuclear nut cases out their might go out of line and start looking for these weapons.

I believe nuclear weapons may still be present in our nation as a insurance policy to the government, similar to the rumored continued presence of Russian nuclear weapons in Cuba as a insurance for Castro.
