You want another world war? Mmm, when was the last time the world multi-polar? Oh I remember, World War I and II. Remember Mussolini, Stalin, Hitler and Tojo?

No, I just feel that the US has been overdoing some of their foreign policy. I am for the US in preventing and stopping a full scale escalation but the US must not interfere in the internal affairs of other nations. That is all.

The usa has not made the smartest of decisions when it comes to intervening in the domestic affairs of other nations, but at the end of the day, in many cases the americans do more good than harm. Without the usa where would the problem in Bosnia-Herzegovina be? Without the canos, that place could still be a cesspool.

Without the usa's constant efforts, the greeks and the turks would have already come to a serious conflict.

Without the usa, Baby Doc Duvalier would still be torturing and killing hundreds of his own citizens each year in Haiti. Which nation led efforts to help them when an earthquake struck Haiti?

Who provided the lions share of support to Southeast Asia and South Asia during the Tsumai crisis?

Who carried out the Berlin airlift to protect the free citizens from the impending threat of the soviets who were trying to starve and freeze the west berliners out???

Who recently risked the health of the armed forces personnel to assist the Japanese in their most gravest crisis since WW2?

Who saved Europes a$$ during WW2?

Who saved our a$$ during WW2?

Who has kept the Chinese from kicking our front door in?

But again, they are not always perfect, no human is but damn you got to give them credit for trying to do the right thing even if their motives are sometimes questionable.

I am not going to name names but my god, some of you continue to state things that have me question your patriotism and pragmatism in regard to our nations sovereignty and security. You expect us to handle the Chinese on our own? Some of you imply we should just bow down in the mud puddles and make a nice door mat for them to walk on.

You are either ignorant or are playing for the wrong team. I am willing to bet some of you unquestionably support the 5 principles of peaceful coexistence -- A Chinese invention designed to limit Western influence and increase Chinese power in the world as they make nice with despot governments like their own so that the can reap the natural resources of that nation while the citizenry suffers.

Make no mistake, the Americans supported some pretty bad people during the Cold War but it was a necessary evil based on perspective and they are paying for the decisions now. I seriously doubt the communist chinese government will be so circumspect if they were placed in the same situation.

The world will never truly be a multipolar place. That is a pipe dream. There is a nation or two that would wish you to believe that but they themselves know that is a lie and are actively pursuing a hegemony of their own. If one "superpower" goes down, another nation will rise up and fill that void. This is repeated in history time and time again.

If america goes down, do you honestly think the Chinese will not step in that role. I can assure you from my own research that they will not be anywhere near as benevolent. If they treat their own citizens so poorly, what makes you think they would treat us any better if they had carte blanch to do what they wanted?

Yes I give them credit in what they do and the sacrifices they make doing those good deeds but sometimes the US must respect the boundaries and not cross lines, especially when it comes in the internal issue's of another nation.

I am opened in opinions and concerns but in light of Wikileaks that is a bit beyond the line especially here in Mindanao in where I live. I have to be critical because I live here and my family has important business here as well also the people that might get affected by their no-so-perfect policy.

Looking at the other concerns, if the US will not intervene, do you think it will really be a safer planet for all nations?

A guaranteed yes for the big ones including the big bullies. But not for the weaker ones.

China could have obliterated with carpet bombing all the islands in the Spratly's occupied by non-Chinese, if the US could not react on it.

So, weaker nations like the Philippines, Kuwait, and even South Korea and Israel would have been easily defeated by the bigger nations or allied nations like the Arabs.

Look at the world history.

It's always been a natural desire of every nation to conquer, threaten or bully the weaker ones.

It only stopped when the United Nations came into the scene.

It only stopped when the least aggressive superpower started to lead.

This is where i came to support that principle that it is better to have a superpower maintaining order for the common good.

For me it is good in a certain degree for a nation to prevent, deter and eliminate a military escalation or conflict but it is a big "NO" for any country to start entering, mingling and interfering in another nations internal affairs affairs. Once a nation starts doing that sort of irresponsible action that internal affair will escalate into a civil escalation and ones the populace puts a hardliner that internal squabble will turn into a much larger flash point.

For me the US should be concerned in the balance of power but not in the internal conflicts and issues in any country. For me those who view that the US must intervene in any internal conflict will be surprise in what a cornered and angry country will do.

The US can deter but not get involve in the internal squabbles, the US is not winning the hearts and minds of the people but is winning the hatred, anger, suspicion of many of world's government and people and if they continue with that attitude they will surely make a lot of nations put things in the ground that can fly 11 or 16 thousand kilometers and carry a payload that can make 9/11 a simple drive by.

without the US we will be at the mercy of China!!

do not forget that back in 1902 the US is determine to help the Filipino to self govern and they have greatly contribute in developing our nation and protecting us from invaders back in World War II!!

without them the horror of World War II will once again felt by the Filipino!! the Chinese will invade neighboring country if no one will stop them!!

the USA have done greatly to make this world peaceful some h0w because they act as the police force of our world!! without them smaller nation will perished including the Philippines!!

OK for deterrence but not enter in our internal issues like the MILF. The US can do whatever it wants in the strategic deterrence but not enter in our internal affairs.

You want another world war? Mmm, when was the last time the world multi-polar? Oh I remember, World War I and II. Remember Mussolini, Stalin, Hitler and Tojo?

Also if the US continues with their policy of entering into the affairs of other nations especially the politics and domestic issues of those nations, I would bet that people more worse than Hitler, Himmler, Stalin or Tojo might emerge because their internal issues are being made into international ones.

Some people view that their must be a balance of power in the world, one superpower should be kept in check by another power.

I am welcome to opinions and suggestions by my neighbor but once that neighbor tells me how to live or enters into my property without asking for my permission that is disrespectful and a slap to my face. That is my view of this WikiLeaks revelations.

In many instances, the implementation of US policy does not reflect the true sentiments of the American people. Policy development studies are a critical area. In the case of the US MILF support the assessment of the situation on the ground must take into account the disposition and intentions of the MILF. Contingency predictions may have not taken into account critical factors.

These critical factors are the history of violence of the MILF; the foreign element of their jihadist support and alliances and the Moro trait of treachery. What guarantees can be assured that the creation of a sub-state will not result in a monolithic monster such as a Pan Islamic Jihadist state that will eventually cause greater problems of security in the region? The MILF has in the past broken peace agreements.

Brokering a dishonorable and false peace with the MILF is not the solution but the beginning of bigger security related problems to come.

Sooner or later the US will "regret" their interference here in our country, the world's problem does not revolve around the US.

I could paint a worst case scenario.... After the creation of the separate state the MILF will build its "police" forces. Religous bigotry will arise as soon as they become the dominant power in Mindanao. Forced selective displacement of people seen as non-Moro will be initiated. Violence against these other people will be done. The threat of genocide may arise.

Strategic resources will in due time be used to create more base infrastructure and arms buildup. The MILF state will later on renege its agreements to the national government and declare a fully independent state. Given the success of the MILF, state support and alliances will pour in from foreign islamic sources. Attempts at expanding territory will continue due to the greater military capability of the mutated MILF Pan Islamic Jihadist State.

This is just a shortie. Care to add your own assessment?

Also with the Wikileaks revelation a lot of ultra-nationalist here in our country will have a field day as they see a continued and obvious intrusion of the US in a internal affair.
