It is not only our resources and/or the economy that will suffer..... It is the people that will suffer. The supreme political dominance of one sub-state is seen as a destabilizing factor that may even affect world security. It might reach that stage should it happen.

But under a Sub-state, they will funnel every drop of revenue into weapons purchasing and start a regional arms race that will engulf the whole country, what can we do to stop them from invading the Visayan region or Luzon as well. Also add that the American's will be supporting them and the US will block any legal action against this stupid idea. I do not want our country to go the road that was taken by Yugoslavia!

The American's know that if they try to access our natural resources they will automatically get flak from the activist and many get resistance from the local government officials. But if they can get the Sub-state establish with a person like Murad who is willing to let them in and neutralize any local opposition if their were any.
