Take note: Pama called it WARSHIP.

AGAIN: The media should not ask questions like how many ships do we have in the West Philippine Sea. Tsk tsk civilian talaga.

This is what I am saying: Pama said we will not join the ARMS RACE in the region. Arm this, arm that kinda attitude is next to war mongering.

The purchase of the BRP Goyo is not yet modernizing the Navy But simply an upgrade. -Pama-
Interesting statement

I think we are already in process on acquiring more WHEC that are going to be decommissioned according to Vice Admiral Pama.

Its primary role is protecting our territory.

Vice Admiral Pama mentioned certain systems like the Phalanx CIWS was non transferable to "other" countries like the Philippines (but whatabout Japan, S Korea and Taiwan?). Food for thought.

Possible manipulation? Or maybe Pama was wrong. Maybe the truth is the Philippines didnt offer enough money to buy the CIWS, or perhaps it was already planned by the US to reinstall it to their newly built ships that replaced the hamilton cutter thats why they didnt sell it and the americans are also saving up some money.

the real reason the electronics and phalanx was stripped is that according to a USCG friend, they will be transferred to the new USCG cutters. nag-titipid ang mga kano

Marunong din pala mga US mag tipid ha, kala ko mga Filipino lang eh...Pero un SPS-40 air search radar is already the old version which was replaced by the new SPS-49 so dapat hindi na tinangal un sa PF-15 dahil hindi na rin ma install un sa new NSC but maybe on the remaining 378 WHEC's that are still in service in case 1 breaks down, so it's basically a reserve unit...
