The chief of staff of the US Air Force paid an official visit to the Philippines this week to meet Philippine military officials including Philippine Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Oscar Rabena at Villamor Airbase.

General Norton A. Schwartz paid a brief visit to Clark Air Base on Thursday to meet with 1st Air Division Commander Major General Ricardo C. Banayat, and to receive military capability demonstrations and briefings.

He and his wife also paid a brief visit to the Clark Veteran’s Cemetery at Clark Air Base to pay their respects to fallen Airmen.
---
At the end of his visit, General Schwartz noted: “We hope that the US Air Force and the Philippine Air Force will deepen our partnership by demonstrating mutual assurance of support, and by developing and expanding our ongoing training and military-to-military exchange programs.”
