ditching the dollar as reserve currency is a good idea especially for china since it will likely lose much of the value of its international reserves if the dollar continues to slide but it still remains a pipe dream china volunteered its renminbi but no one is buying and rightfully so.

latin america? their economy is also dependent on north amrica, theyre also affected which will also affect their trade with china?

africa? same story, there's really no escape for china thats why most economists agree that best move for china is to lend more money to prop economies of the western world.

I don't think that's not a pipe dream anymore Sir. Major economy in the world not only in China is planning to ditch dollar currency.

World is no longer revolving on the US economy anymore.

Sir. Kindly watch some foreign news. or even Youtube channel.

Some of the major economy world are doing it already. Even the close ally of the US they are doing it. I cannot specify other country.

I said before the World is no longer revolving in the US economy.

its really simple. hindi makikialam ang amerika sa verbal disputes sa south china sea pero tutulungan tayo kung lusubin tayo.

its a cultural difference. asians including filipinos have a tendency to think that arguments specially serious arguments are the same as physical fights or war.

The americans can have a serious argument but they will not come to blows. they do not(usually) take things personal.

Tayo naman , we avoid arguments because we take it personally and can rapidly escalate.

as for this debt of america to the US. that is really funny.
when the US has a war with another country, they will seize the assets of the enemy and it will become american property, just google what happened to German, libya, Iranian, etc assets.

The chinese invested heavily in the US specially in bonds which are promissory notes that the US will pay them back. this bonds constitute a large part of US debt. if there is a war, the US will seize this bonds and the debt will be quits . as for chinese investments in stocks those will be seized too and be quits.

if there is a war, it is chinese economy that will collapse because they are export oriented and the shipping lanes will shut down and no exports will be shipped. Secondly, china exports more than $360 billion to the US while the US only exports about $90 billion plus so it is china that will lose heavily if there is a war.

as for all those negatives things you hear about the american economy, the western and american press have always emphasized the worst or most negative aspects , and this is what makes america strong because their press sounds the alarm very early so corrective action can be taken or they exaggerate the problem so govt will respond to fix accordingly.
if you google it you will see how american press exaggerates problems in the past such as "Space gap" , "bomber gap", "missile gap", and you will see how the U.S. has responded.

Unlike other countries where they hide or censor their problems.

Our air underwater and seas are heavily monitored by the US, they are just quiet about it. there are a lot of things we do not know about because the press-american or local do not know about it either. and estilo ng kano ay ganito "speak softly but carry a big stick". hindi lang ninyo alam how much help they gave us nung 1995 mischief reef crisis kahit sinipa natin sila sa Subic at clark nung 1991. Ngayon pa kaya na sweet at lovey-dovey na tayo uli with them...kayo talaga masumpungin at tampuhin :lollol:

By the way, the mutual defense treaty anniversary is August 30. :fire:

i watch the business news all the time, I searched the Internet but I could not find any single country that has started buying China's renminbi to replace its dollar reserves.

clearly you're just posting baloney if you cant even post a link to a reliable source

ditching the dollar for deals & buying commodities like oil with other currencies is nothing new, others even barter with goods and services

yes, keeping dollar reserve is baloney but so far no major economic power has replaced their dollar reserves with other currency/ies, not even china & russia, their reserves are still in dollars and so far have disagreed what to use whether its the RMB or the ruble.

yeah and gold is made from bronze..

I believe it when I see it, let them walk the talk first

:armywink:

sadly, not a single country cant be affected at varying levels by a flagging US economy but as to not relying on them militarily, yes, we could only reliably rely on ourselves, MDT or not.
