The Chinese will not invade our mainland. They will however take the reefs and pagasa. The know that to go to the mainland would cause a huge international outcry, they would be responsible for a humanitarian crisis and of course they would face a guerilla force. By sticking to the little reefs, atolls and small islands and at the same time allowing free passage of international shipping they know most of the world outcry will be minimal. Very few nations have the balls or resources to stand up to the commies. It would do us well to be real allies with those nations that can and will. |

They could certainly takeover the KIG, that is if we just watch passively. But I'm sure we won't take it lying down, and once we resist most likely than not, the US would be forced to intervene. |

So that's still Philippine territory right so it does matter if its in the main land or the Kalayaan Group is our territory so a missile defense shield is not a bad idea just a little suggestions to be added one make a Missile command for the missile defense system and make it 60% Manpads on vehicles and the rest on mobile carriers and what is left make them fix Missile batteries on selective location of strategic importance. About the Vikings? Its an old plane i think its better for us to look on the F20 tigershark but its like that first no more production second its phase out plane meaning logistics training is next to impossible if we pick the viking it would have been good for us but sad to say in the long run its going to be other nightmare in the making not unless we have an industries to fall in too to keep the said planes flying in their best effectiveness maybe we would have chance with the OV10x if Boeing (if its going to be put back in production) well for once we have experience flying them two parts and services are available when needed we can turn it to our light bomber/Recon/Maritime patrol aircraft etc. but its a good idea comrade am just saying as all no punt intended

"No sacrifice is too great in the service of freedom." “As long as we are not willing to provide an adequate, suitable and capable defense for this country, we will be oppressed, demeaned and dishonored. We will be the stepping mat of every country in this region,”(Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile) “Just because we are a very weak country militarily, we should not be taken advantage of by more powerful countries" (Senate committee on national defense and security chairman Panfilo Lacson) | |

I agree that whether they take the mainland or our islands/reefs it is still our land. No argument there. My point is if they take the small stuff and leave the main islands alone such as Luzon, Palawan etc, most of the world really wont give a crap. The Chinese do know that what they do will need to happen quickly and or quietly to minimize disruptions on the sealanes. We must end up in a armed conflict with the Chinese before Kuya Sam will intervene. Blood will need to be spilled. Our politicians need to do whatever needs to be done to fix the constitution to allow the canos to have basing rights. I would rather we give up a few square miles for us bases (in order to make direct and indirect revenue from Sam) rather than give up thousands of square miles and oil/gas deposits to the facist chicom pigs. For the deluded few who think we can do business with the Chinese and share the profits? I suggest you begin some serious study into their business models and practices. They will rob you blind. The latest example is the "Apple Store" debacle in China at the moment. One of thousaands of glaring examples of why they cannot be trusted to engage in fair business practices. |

Well, P-Noy already said in his SONA that taking a step on Recto Bank is the same as taking a step on Recto Avenue so I guess if ever the Reds decide to take the KIG by force, we'll have a shooting war. |

Now that issues are being recast in a new light over the WPS, we need to start checking very closely our dealing with the PRC and it's citizens. Our humint needs to be reenergized in areas that cover what their people are doing in our country. Each PRC citizen is a potential spy whether it be military, economic or political. Those of our citizens who have close dealings and afffiliations with the PRC citizens need to be quietly asked or reminded where their loyalties lie. If it is found that our citizens and theirs are in collusion (this includes crimes such as drug trafficking as it erodes (sabotage) our populace) then those citizens should be tried for treason. We are entering a time in our history that will present great challenges, great opportunities and great rewards. Let us not squander the momentum on frivolous arguments and personal agendas. Let us put an end to the empty words of love of country and replace them with actions which prove love of country. I dream of a day when our childrens birthright will be a nation that is a successful and prosperous as any first world country. I hope for the day that we are the nation that others look to in time of need rather than us seeking help during our darkest hours. Finally, I pray for the day that any capable citizen can seek any employment or government office without fear, prejudice or expectation of illegal enrichment. Peace |

Israel though small remains untouchable by the big nations surrounding it because of its military might. Taiwan cannot be touched by China because of its military might. The British as well as other EU nations though small in size are among the worlds best defended nations and nobody wants to mess with them. Again, because they have a dependable military force. EU nations maybe safe for now because they are at war with noone. Israel and Taiwan despite the threat remain strong. Two things. Their military and US support. Let's get the same advantage. IMPROVE OUR MILITARY AND IMPROVE OUR RELATIONS WITH THE U.S. Let's help the U.S. gain more footing in this region by taking back the Clark facility or building a new base. Let's help their economy regain stability as well. We can actively or indirectly participate in promoting their products one way or the other. The bigger markets for them will then focus their attention and interest and help. The US, EU and the other nations on the other hand should focus more on investing in ASEAN and not simply overfeed the bully China even more. Let's buy more ships. Missile ships this time with ASW capabilty. Let's buy fighter jets as well and surveillance equipments. |
