If Sen. Bongbong's late and unlamented despotic father had not bleed the country dry, our AFP will be at least on par with Malaysia's! :headbang:

I strongly disagree. That was an old myth.

Spearhead,

Old myth? Here are some facts you can't dispute.

1) 1965 exchange rate (official) P 2 = $ 1

1986 exchange rate (official) P 20 = $ 1

2) 1965 foreign debt = less than $ 1 billion

1986 foreign debt = more than $ 26 billion

3) Nuimber of NPA's (1972) = about 200

Number of NPA's (1985) = about 25,000 (This is a fact that worried the US. The CIA and the Pentagon even made a case that the NPA would have achieved strategic stalemate with the AFP on or before 1990 with Marcos still in Malacanang)

4) The biggest thief in the 1987 Guinness book of World Records = Ferdinand Marcos!

You talked about the general budgeting. You earlier reacted for the military. And you are wrong about the military.

Marcos did spoil the AFP. So just to answer your post, again you are dead wrong because it was the corruption within the military that killed the modernization of the AFP. When Marcos left, the AFP was badly neglected.

That is also the reason why the enemy surged because of the 1987 constitution flaws that made the situation worst by keeping the whole nation from federalism. When Marcos was still there, the military was still able to manage and control the enemy numbers. And the numbers you posted is just one of those FACTS.

Therefore, yes FM may in fact guilty of misusing the national treasure BUT its NOT because FM was branded as the biggest theft in the world, that doesnt mean he screwed up the military. Just by comparing the number of fighter jets flying in the 1970's to early 1980's from late 80's to present, go figure.

So suck it up. Dont be delusional.

OT:

BTW just to add up some logics here. The surge of NPA guerillas in the late Marcos administration was caused by a widespread badmouthing against him. Because of this nationwide rebellion goin on since the 70's, residents from visayas, mindanao, and parts of luzon that are affected by the conflict were only forced to leave their residents because of the communist revolutionary taxes and their lives were threatened. That is a FACT. That's why they all ended up squatting in metro manila.

And these squatters were used by the political enemies of the Marcoses for propaganda. Meanwhile, the Marcoses were caught unprepared. Already been accused of various human rights violations and corruptions, the sudden surge of the NPA armed wing were too much to bear. But despite all this, his administration was still able to sustain some SRDP military programs and were destined to be one of the best asian nation. Only stopped short when he was finally kicked out.

Goin back to squatters, did the first aquino administration able to fix this problem? At the same time, was her administration able to slow down the population booming problems?

Did FVR were able to moderniza the AFP?

Did ERAP were able to crush the muslim separatists?

DID former president GMA was able to defeat the rebellions?

NO.

Those are just to name a few to refute you. So ano ang pinagmamalake ninyong mga undying anti-marcoses?

That is WHY were still talking about acquiring these new warships when by now we should have been talking about developing our own spacecrafts and satellites. GET IT?

Now lets go :btt:

Time "Pabaon" started (FVR), Baka kung tumagal sa pwesto eh mas maganda pa ang performance sa tatlo kung tutuusin? at nagkaron ng maganda acquisition sa Militar..(Erap), the "Mother F__ker of all Corruption including X deal with the Chicoms re; Spratley and reason for China's claim.. (GMA)!

2 more WHECs had been formally requested from the USCG to be acquired later this year or early next year.
