The PAF contracted Marsh Aviation to solve the OV-10 problems that you mentioned and the results were great! The PAF now has its own Bronco version... the M version.

Thanks for enlightening me on this sir KFIR!![]() If the B-52 is in service with the US since the late 50s probably until 20 years from now, the OV-10M can serve with us just as long. Man, I'm beginning to love these tora toras. |

Our Seals in conjunction with US Seals would be best for taking back the reefs in question. Prior to that I would give the commies an ultimatum but not directly refer to what or where. If that doesn't get concrete movement on this issue... This pussyfooting around with worthless nonbinding agreements... |

C130 as a bomber? For Daisy Cutter or MOAB perhaps. But for conventional regular diameter bombs I don't think C130 would be a practical aircraft for that. Maybe we can purchase second hand Spooky gunships from the USAF. |

the US doesn't want to sell their AC-130s...and how would one turn a C-130 into a bomber? AFAIK, yung ramp niya is nasa likod..possible ba na mag deliver ng bombs by using the rear ramp? |

C-130's drop tanks and armored vehicles from the rear, why not bombs? |

I guess the real question is our priorities? What are our national objectives? Is it the domestic unrest such as the NPA or the moros or is it dealing with external threats like the Chinese? The simplest solution would be to yank a lot of pisos off the magic money tree and buy assets for all my friends. My bong is empty so let's face reality. Money is scarce. Use what money we do have to procure assets for domestic use such as ISR platforms, improved airlift and air to ground attack. This way we can face the internal challenges that have plauged our country. Bring in the usa, give them their 50 year lease option and their responsibility will be our external defense until we can begin to start transferring money from the domestic procurement priorities to the external threat priorities. The us has to walk a very fine line when it comes to internal defense so that is why WE need to focus on that aspect. I would like to see our consitution change in a way that would allow special presidential authorization for usa forces to conduct/technical assist limited scope ops to help us take out the leaders of groups across the archipelago in both the NPA and specific moro groups. We still need to have a team of pinoy special operators (or pay someone) to kill people like Jose Sison. It has to be made clear that we will not tolerate that type of activity. He lives a comfortable lifestyle in Europe while his cronies create problems across our islands. If the Israeli agents can pop folks across the globe and weather the muted criticism why can't we? I am pretty sure the Dutch wont give a crap as long as we give them plausible deniability. The claim is that he is a political entity that we have to negotiate with...really? Where has that gotten us over the decades...more bodybags. By letting the usa base here they will significantly increase the military support packages and they will practically give us the MRF type assets we most certainly need. So in a short period of time we can all be happy. This won't happen until we have a clear, unambigious set of national priorities and pursue them with a ferver unseen over the past few decades. We must love our country and do what it takes to take it back from the edge of the abyss. |

A C130 heavy bomber is absolutely unnecessary for the PAF. C130s are more needed for transport operations and it would be cheaper to send in an OV-10 bomber with smaller bombs than to throw a MOAB using a C130 on some village camp of rebels... |

C 130s are also used in training paratroopers (airborne) and rangers and special forces in airborne operations. We need at least 10 C 130s and 2 C 141 for long range or continental operations like rescuing stranded Filipinos overseas and transporting our peace keeping forces overseas or airborne operations. |

10 C-130s is too much... you don't rescue stranded OFWs everyday and Filipino peacekeepers are not transported on a daily routine. 6 C-130s is enough and that's it, nothing else. |
