We need light bombers/attack planes to bomb the rebel camps.

And what's wrong with the OV10s and S211s already used in such raids before? (such as in this air raid video posted at this other thread)

Why the need to pull off a C130 off more critical airlift duties when other planes can do this "bomber" job?

You just want to see a C130 drop a MOAB, which the US will never provide to the Philippines; as I said before, the only foreign user of the MOAB is the UK Royal Air Force.

Nothing wrong with me! I still go for the OV-10 for such missions especially the newer Boeing OV-10 X version...

I wonder if it also uses the same propellers of the PAF OV-10 M version?

How about the A-10 Thunderbolt II. C'mon, I don't wanna hear we cannot afford it.

As discussed before, the US will be unlikely to let us have A-10's and it would be cheaper for us to get Su25's which are similar in capability.

I do like the idea of the Boeing upgraded OV10. Ask Boeing to fly a demo bird in for some show and tell. Then consider a one year leasing arrangement and see how it holds up in combat.

i like that idea of modifying the PAF broncos with a remote underbelly turret w/ thermal-nvg cameras.

Reminds me of the WW2 Flying Fortress!

You mean like this?

The OV-10D

Di lang pang atake, pang support pa... Di lang pang atake, pang support pa (ting!)

That's a great idea. Yet again, the OV-10s are old machines. Our PAF is having difficulty maintaining their OV-10 fleet because we're the only country in the world flying them, and spare parts are becoming hard to find. We ought to look for another alternative.

Anything but Russian-made.
