Did you ask your friend if where those marines are coming from? Because Guam was building one of the largest naval base outside the mainland US. Those facilities are for US military personnels from Okinawa to be transfered this year or so. The US base in Okinawa i believe is closing soon. Help me google this report, it has been in the news for some time now. |

Maybe that's for the CARAT 2011 for the PHILIPPINE/ US Military Exercise.. Much better if they relocate in PALAWAN area and Subic, maybe more cheaper for them since Subic was their former and this would definitely prevent any external threats to us and change the balance of everything.... This maybe the most practical way to put things back where it was in SCS before the US Bases left, meaning they will also have to kick out CHINA in Mischief Reef inside our EEZ! Our Govt. and Senate should consider this as an option! Either way the probability of the US getting involved if we get into a shooting war against CHINA at "present" is HIGHER than if We let the US Bases back here in our Country. THIS MAYBE IS THE BEST SOLUTION ... if the US Agrees? which I think a better choice for them. with the US Bases presence in the Philippines our EEZ Territories, Airspace and the Whole Country are protected, not to mention those F22 Raptors deployed in Okinawa that will be deployed here as well if these idea pushes through!!!

Actually they already considered that atleast from the news i read sometime last month. But the constitutional conflict are restraining them from coming back to philippine islands. Yun pa nga lang nasa Sulu or Basila na small military base nila ay pinagkakaguluhan na ng mga anti-americans. |

This has been said before pretty much every election. But the candidates on the national level mostly are those who have the money to even run election campaigns. If this is our only hope, then be prepared to be bit*$hslapped by reality yet again. If things are to go "decently", then it will take decades to rid the system of corruption. The other alternative - which bears great risks and dangers - would be a revoution. |
