OT: tingin niyo kung si Makoy ang president natin in his prime, what will be his actions on this? Personally I take this incident as provocation.

Just a thought, the fly-by happened WHILE USS Carl Vinson was here?

I still don't get this. They have not identified it. Are they hiding something? How about the information from the I.S.? :dunno:

Sir TL,

According to the article on FB, the OV-10s where at 5,500 ft. and the unidentified Jets were at 18,000 to 20,000+ ft. So it means they were not buzzed according to their earlier press released statements? SO THIS IS A RETRACTION NOW...?!

If this were true... SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT?! :nono:

If Marcos were President now, I don't think the Chinks would dare anything like this and our Military's status far different from the one we have right now...

Maybe we have the same capabilities as JAPAN and South Korea! :specool:

We were the first to have Rocket Developments in Asia through SRDP of Marcos. We could have had Nuclear Weapons as well. :patrioticpinoy:

Its not a retraction for the AFP leadership rather it uses valid statements not to antagonize China.

What do you call that retraction... Wow Mali?
You mean to say the first statements were not valid? :dontgetit:
Do you want us not to antagonize China, when they are the ones antagonizing us! Daaaaah?

Here goes the famous "Do Nothing Policy" of this less patriotic generation...

It's not about seeking War, but standing ground, fighting for what's rightfully yours and not to be bullied in your own backyard. The BiG Problem is we don't know who or what to believe? This dangerous and creates chaos! We might go into a shooting war with China because of false inaccurate reports from AFP to Media... :nono:

What's happening right now is causing complications resulting to a lot of Questions to everyone's minds;

-Why did AFP/PAF released the first "Buzzing" reports, or let the media released those inaccurate reports?

-Why are they retracting or correcting those earlier reports just now at the time of the Chinese Defense Minister's visit or arrival and not (2) days ago??? odd?

-What will be the peoples reaction after this blunder or not incident and it's effect on the credibility of AFP, Govt, Media?

A,

I really dont know where the source of the first report ,but for sure the AFP position now is validated coming from the OV 10 pilots and the detailed situation was posted here:
http://www.facebook.com/notes/armed-forces...150619103695607.

As we all know media played an important role in giving informations but if it is RAW info then people have the tendency to think and to pass judgement.
I dont think Philippine media is 100 percent credible.

I AGREE IT'S TRUE! :thumb:

They never give an accurate report especially regarding Military reports... I don't think they do researches well, compared to foreign press that always try to check the validity and accuracy of any News before they release them, otherwise their asses and reputation including the medias are on the line....

On the other hand same thing as Gen. Oban for commenting on the first one and releasing comments without Validation first! Sad to say that you can measure a persons mentality with this kind of judgement.... It's a poor one! :dunno:

As far as we can see, the administration is concentrated on the naval acquisitions. No word yet for the PAF modernization. Puro plano at study pa lang ang ginagawa ng airforce. Kawawa naman.

not only that... after the study the congress and senate will debate on it for a couple of years then something then can happen terribly, like Vietnam took one of our islet and tapos and blander na naman. as far as the aircrafts harrassing us it could be vietnamese airforce or malaysian or anyone claiming it. the thing is our airforce right now is not able to deter or confront these countries around us. because of the ineptitude of our leaders, politikos and our system sucks. we need a federalism. And Pnoy should use his executive powers now to buy a dozen grippens or SU 31s. and what happen to the news i have read about a big oil found in Palawan similar to Iraq in quantity? another cheap talk? If these are true then by just that news Pnoy can apply for new loans to finance some dozens new fighter jets. wala talaga tayo, just as I have been writing in the pasts on this thread, our poor neighboring countries like Vietnam is overtaking us in economy and military and even may attack us. Even the poorest like Myanmmar and Laos or Cambodia will eventually overtake us if all we do is cheap talk and no action.

Equipment acquisition is imperative at this point in time. It may cost a lot of money but the Philippines cannot afford to remain an idle spectator in a region that is increasingly gearing itself towards a modern and better defense capability- CS Oban.

WE need it very badly. It is only the political will of the government to implement the expired AFP modernization , take full resposibility where the NATIONAL INTEREST comes first. We are not competing for arms build up in this part of the world but capability upgrade just a token to enforce our sovereign rights. Our ASEAN neighbors have already on a defense buying spree like submarines, MBT,MRF and MRVs to project their over the horizon capability. Our 2020 vision of the AFP is far being achieve unless we start yesterday and not today. :fire:
