pinakamurang alternative is to have SAM sites over Reed Bank, which Malacanang says is ours and not part of the KIG, but other countries might think of it as provocation. We should be asking the USN Pacific fleet to conduct port calls here in the Philippines more often.

I believe our Govt. should have PN and PCG ships stationed in REED Bank area on a permanent basis if they can, and regular Reconn patrols of OV-10s, they should stand their ground regardless of the outcome as long as they are well within Philippine airspace and territories... "Di sila dapat papayag na paalisin sila sa teritoryo natin!" :rifle:

The Philippine Air Force should have it's WINGS back ASAP!!! or we're doomed to loose everything... :armysad:

I still don't get this. They have not identified it. Are they hiding something? How about the information from the I.S.? :dunno:

This is almost the same style on how they occupied Mischief reef!
If we don't react, they'll think that everything's OK... I bet their just waiting for a chance to build structures in the area and if they do, that's it for us! Unless we blow them up straight away...

Gentlemen, a colleague/mate, who had a relationship w/ PLAAF men, provided me the image, taken sometime 1993's...being used for the reverse engineering, specifically the for the JF-17. Further, to study technology of foe "India". They may have completed the project and duplicated it.
This was a Fulcrum-A bought as a surplus, from undisclosed country. This AC, may have also been put into service for whatever purpose.

Nevertheless, we are still awaiting confirmation of what AC buzzed our pilots.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Saturday confirmed that two unidentified jet aircraft were flying over the disputed Spratly Islands in the South China Sea Wednesday.

“The Armed Forces of the Philippines is the protector of the people and the state. Our role to secure the sovereignty of the state and the integrity of the national territory continues," AFP chief Gen. Eduardo S.L. Oban Jr. said in a statement.

Equipment acquisition is imperative at this point in time. It may cost a lot of money but the Philippines cannot afford to remain an idle spectator in a region that is increasingly gearing itself towards a modern and better defense capability," he said. — JE, GMA

Talu-talo na, dapat bawiin ang Mischief Reef while nandito ang Defense chief nila. It will be a good statement.

Tony,

I believe this is the fly-by incident that happened when the USS Carl Vinson was here.

Actually that report was also the previously reported one.It is safe to say unidentified jets unless our boys validated it. It may also cause diplomatic row if the aircraft is not from China.
Address Spratly Island to KALAYAAN ISLANDS, South China Sea to WESTERN PHILIPPINE SEA or Kanlurang Dagat ng Pilipinas.
