Chan, Commander, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army here, recently articulated the important role that reservists play in maintaining peace and order in the community. Chan said this during the 32nd National Reservist Week Convention held at Camp Lukban, barangay Maulong this city. He added that these reserve officers are also a potent force in times of disasters where they assist the Army soldiers in relief operation. Reservists are also their partner in information gathering, Chan added, referring to the more or less 500 reservists who came from all over Samar, who attended the first ever convention held in Samar .
