Best to have at least one OHP Missile ship or Knud Rasmussen Missile Corvette type and use it as template, then will start from there, also with the MPACs let's build them as well...

imo, matagal na nilang alam yan na kayang kaya ng local ship builders na gumawa ng barko pandigma. what stopping them is their greed. konti o wala na mapupunta sa bulsa nila. wala ng trips abroad for inspection, etc...

i dont see any other reason for the local ship builders to stop or say no to building ships for the government other than losing money. its a business after all. if that fear of losing money is erased, sky is the limit for building ships. more work for our local ship builders, more ships for AFP/PCG fleet, more angas sa WPS! :rifle:

We could probably incorporate some ASW technology on those vessels too...

We need to come up with a Philippine made design that could also protect and support these vessels. Something similar in tonnage and size to the German Navy's Gepard class fast attack craft or a corvette type of vessel.

If we can build LCU's like this one, what's stopping us from building OPV's, or like the Gumdoksuri Class of S.Korea? Hell we can do much better than that one...!

We can at least start-off by doing joint-ventures with South-Korea: we make the superstructures and get the military technology from SoKor. :thumb:
