im new here, and have lurked for quite some time; so is there really a mafia by those graduates of pma? like hey, why are they obviously covering up the mistakes of those generals both living and just died in their investigations? is that en ough reason to think there is really a mafia by those guys? can any one enlighten me? and hey seniority is the biggest facto in the system? whoa! what if the most senior dude is well a jackass or corrupt all of the guys defer and blindly follow?

wow, with that kind of thinking no wonder the military through the guys from pma is in deep s@#t.

There is no Mafia. I know that all of them are members of the Free Masons.

It may be true that there were graduates who became corrupt but not all of them, the PMAers I know are still struggling financially even they are already field-grade officers. And I know a general officer who's wife became an OFW as a nurse in the US when her husband was in a very sensitive position.

I'm not saying that SENIORITY alone is the biggest factor, what I said was seniority is important for the PMAers, they are supposed to give their respect to their seniors. Have you ever seen a Lt. Col. saluting a Major? A Major saluting a Captain? I have seen it and was amazed at first.

On your question waht if the most senior is a jackass, he still deserves a sort of respect from his juniors, as they say "salute the rank not the person".

I suggest that you make a further study on our military before forming any judgment on any group of people. I've been studying and observing the Philippine military for the past 18 years and I admit that I still have a lot to learn.

yes sir JK. :drunk:

I just noticed it, most of the officers who won the Medal of Valor are PMA trained officers. Class breakdown are as follows:

Class 1979 - Ortiz
- Querubin

Class 1987 - Parcon
- Sobejana
- Lucero (PH)

Class 1988 - Bacarro

Class 1998 - Dilag

i aint making any generalizations -yet thats why im asking.

salute the rank not the person- fine! even if the person is as i said a jackass???man thats touch! discipline? even if the jackass is stealing or whatever right in front of you and because he is senior? kindly enlighten further. because if he is senior and will always be senior for all the following years you would just let this damn dork be the boss worthy of your salute? kinda wrong so thats why the system sucks.

the question is actually the mafia right? weel seeing all the achievers and whatnot who are from pma, one can easily see there is more than meets the eye; is it because they are the best and brightest as compared to non pma guys that make them achieve well? or is it because they can manipulate the system to make it in their favor which makes the mafia in question present, implied or actual. and yeah not all may be part of the mafia but there is an implicit evidence of an existent mafia. just making clear that not all may be part of the mafia if at all it is there.

too many facts that make people ask that- its always these guys who get the long end of the stick and or be famous for that as many of us see.

so thats why im asking- with that what i can see how come its always them? you mean out of say a thousand officers with 300 spartans from pma only these 300 of the thousand are motivated to do more or be better? if so it kinda tells you what kind of officers there are in the phil military who are not pma grads.wow.
