you see this is the problem, we keep on relying on the US. We should strive to help ourselves in anyway. If the US voluntary give us or donate free logistics thats most welcome. But we should also rely and build our own defense industries even in a modest way since we already have some capabilities like ship building, small arms, howitzers, APCs to start with. With this SRDP in case of conflicts we are self sufficient. Just look what is happening with our relationship now to one of our allies Taiwan, they are or may delay some of defense acquisitions from them as a retaliation of the deportation to China of the suspects arrested who are Taiwanese. Unexpected diplomatic blunder from an ally. when are we going to stand in our feet.

It makes me wonder, some countries like Taiwan and Singapore and even Japan who has limited natural resources can built modern logistics and weapons whereas we who are rich in natural resources cannot make one for the AFP. Something is very wrong. We have the wrong people in the government and this has been going on for decades.

you see,the problem is, whenever we have a very plausible project etc, our politicos and our government meets it with half hearted enthusiasm..its the red tape and snafus that keeps us from pushing through projects

and the thing about reliance with uncle sam, what can we do? hes the richest kid on the block :armyLol:

It is better that they have their representation so that they can witness the relentless drive against them and they will know that their wild cause can never prevail and win and the railroad towards their supporter can be easily achieved for the campaign to facilitate the all out war.

lets just hope there are still a handful of honest officials are left to at least keep those ideologically twisted politicos at bay

If military R&D pays well, more highly skilled people will work. So the question is, does it pay well?
If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking.

Philippine Navy should consider more review regarding the U.S. of America pledges to help PN.. With the Hamilton class on it way to the Philippines I wonder what kind of pledges America is talking about and how.. better if America gives Military Aid Funds just like Israel is receiving from America.. See Israel is receiving such Military Aid Funds from America in the form of money and Israel can chose wether they buy American Weapons Or European Weapons that doesn't involve U.S. Technology, but on their own Weapons Technology know how..

That is the main reason why America doesn't trust those Generals and Admirals of our AFP! P-Noy should get Rid of these old War Horse Three Stars before they get their Four Stars.. And go spend Money that shouldn't be spending on I take the example: The Hamilton Class Endurance Cutter!?! Why Admiral Pama bought this old derivative ship once built for the United States Coast Guard and not built for the Navy.. At least He could have tell us Filipino Tax Payers that He has plans to up grade and install affordable SAMs, Anti-Ship Missiles, and CIWS made in Britain Or Israel.. That could have explain things better., But unfortunately He choose to stay mum or simply Silent on that Matter.. As We Filipino Tax Payers shouldn't We be at least in full Suspicion of what are the real intentions of these Old War Horse Admirals and Generals of our Armed Forces of the Philippines.. Think about it and tell what are your thoughts of this matter..
