My sincerest condolonce to the bereaved family of Major Prisco Tacuboy.

"Kuya Tac" hails from Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

He perished in the latest plane crash involving a Nomad passenger plane of the Air Force that killed 8 others including Maj. Gen. Mario Lacson, the commaning general of the 3rd Air Division of the Philippine Air Force.

"Kuya Tac" has been a good man. I've personally known the person since he was still a Lieutenant.

He is a family man. A good loving husband to Ate Venz and a loving father to his two kids, Nicole and PJ.

He's one of the reasons why I still believe in our senior officers amidst the corruption scandals haunting the military.

We will miss you, Kuya Tac.

May you rest in peace.

IT'S ABOUT TIME WE JUNK THOSE OLD AND DEFECTIVE TRANSPORT AIRCRAFTS.

IT'S BEEN WASTING A LOT PEOPLE, BOTH SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS.

I hope those 2 remaining flying coffins will never be allowed to return to serve the Air Force.

The plane has a bad reputation. We cannot allow it to ruin more lives.

It's unfit to fly.

Let's simply junk them or put them in the museum.

Parts of Nomad plane brought to Mactan for technical analysis
By Mike Frialde (The Philippine Star) Updated January 31, 2010 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - Parts of what remained of the military plane that crashed in a residential area in Cotabato City that killed nine people last Thursday have been brought for technical analysis to the Philippine Air Force (PAF) base in Mactan, Cebu, Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. Gerardo Zamudio said yesterday.

Zamudio added the team formed by the PAF led by Capt. Ian Lamzon to investigate the tragedy has also secured the testimonies of some 15 witnesses.

He said the testimonies, along with the parts of the Nomad N-22B twin prop airplane recovered at the crash site, would enable the investigators to determine the cause of the crash.

Zamudio said investigators were able to secure the testimony of the control tower operator of Awang Airport in Cotabato City who was able to talk to the pilot of the ill-fated plane before it crashed.

Officials said Capt. Genaro Gaylord Ordonio was able to contact the control tower at Awang airport minutes before the crash.
