Looks like this TV series is making an impact among the youth. My two young cousins who are going to graudate high school this year have expressed their interest in entering the PMA.

And mind you sir caterwaul, these two cousins belong to relatively well-off families who can very well afford to go to college in Europe or the US. :ssalute:

Beg to disagree, I know people from well-off families who can definitely afford college education, yet chose to enter the academy.

The son of the late Ramon Mitra, former speaker of the House of Representatives belonged to PMA class 1988, retired several years back from the Marine Corps. Can we say he went there for free education?

Just shifted to the other channel last night - Marian Rivera is hot hot hot as Proserfina - the malnourished Kim Chiu is no match.

How about the current commanders of the AFP and PNP from Yano to Versoza, ex PNP comptroller de la Paz and others of the ruling class, who among them came from multi-millionaire or well-off families when they were still cadets?

The one who typed it is dumber...

You are asking about percentage of middle class/upper class people compared to lower class people entering the Academy, do you have the figures that the lower class is greater than the upper class? If you don't, then you are just assuming and probably basing it from what other people are saying.

Yano, Versoza and Dela Paz are just a speck of the thousands of graduates of the Academy. You can't base your conclusion from just three persons...maybe those are the only ones you know who graduated from the Academy.

Besides what's wrong with the free education that the Academy offers? Does that mean that all scholarships being offered in different Schools are not also good since?

Sourgraping?

This is getting too tiring! What do you people find so bad about the graduates of PMA?
Fine, there are some bad apples or rotten eggs, whatever you want to call them. Pero meron din naman matino. Kung gusto ninyo patunayan na mas marami yung No-Go na cavaliers, then why don't you conduct an unbiased study on the subject. Track mo lahat ng grad ng PMA, mula sa umpisa, tapos categorize mo kung sino ang naging corrupt o nagrebelde, tapos compare mo dun sa mga naging matino. Don't forget to correlate the number of corrupt PMA alumni with the number from the poor sector of society. Pagkatapos, saka na kayo mag-generalize. Madali lang manira ng ibang tao o ng organisasiyon. Pero kung wala ka din naman ebidensiya, kahit anong ingay mo, hindi ka pa rin credible. You are just making yourself look like a fool.
