still, is there any independent verification that these women used one of our C-130s for one private function? we all know what our media people are capable of writing so i guess we should really take everything with a grain of salt.

I'd say it's flimsy matter. If the wives are going to take PAL and their presence are needed, the air fare would equal two months salary of general. They're considered public relations representatives of AFP brass. I had attended one charity event. It was inspiring to see their wives ribbon cutting, soliciting and making speeches. Everyone felt good and donated a lot.

I would really doubt if we can hold a military junta accountable for more abuses like rampant use of military aircrafts for personal use. Name one junta that was held accountable or name one vindictive junta which did not punish a critic who dared question the illegal use of aircraft through torture or murder. If you can name one, I'll suspend or expel myself from this forum. We have the best form of government. Democratic and governed by laws.
"Provocation is a valid defense against homicide"- Canadian Law on MSantor who 'cough, cough..', passes by my company room with a cup of coffee, waits for me in the bus shelter together with his friends and provoke me, and has been stalking me in forums like army.ca, navy.ca, timawa.net, militaryforums.com... He indeed is 'SEEKING DEATH' - Holy Bible.

This is what I wrote on the other forum on a similar thread.

Come to think of it, we should not condemn these ladies. Imagine they have the balls to ride the C-130 of which some of those reporters keeps on calling as flying coffins. If they were given the VIP treatment, they could have made used of those Fokkers and Nomads. It could have been an education process on the PAF's part showing these ladies the hardships our soldiers and their dependents are experiencing taking a ride on those workhorses. Medyo kulang lang sa info sa mga reporters or medyo kulang lang sa pansin sila that they just saw the negative side of the event.

We should get mad if we see them ladies charter a commercial flight on the PAF's tab or see them going abroad with their families. Just like the wife of Gen. Garcia who even brag of her husband's position when confronted by the U.S. Customs regarding the money they were carrying.

We are not condemning the ladies for allegedly using the military plane, we are condemning the inappropriate use of the military aircraft. Those ladies involved can't by themselves use it without approval from someone somewhere within.

Comfort and who used the plane is not the issue here. The issue was on whether they are allowed to use or board the military plane in accordance with the strict military SOP and the existing general laws governing the lawful usage of government-owned transport.

It amuses me and I can just formulate my own view and opinion on this subject. For me....Of course the Generals wives will be on some sort of Travel Order authorizing attendance and reimbursement to attend the function and may even authorize civilian mode as the C-103s have a habit of breaking down or going down for maintenance once they hit Villamore AB and the train of thought would be to go the most reliable method.....so as not to miss the event.....But as you can see, this event surely did not escape the eyes of PDFF. They are everywhere and well informed. :salute:

Didn't you know that the wives who boarded the C130 were the ugly and fat ones? Their husbands hoped that the C130 would crash and make them widowers so they could remarry young, beautiful and sexy women.

I pity those people taking a hitch on those C-130s. I remember hearing stories like it being fully packed, passengers sitting on aluminum boxes, the story of that alleged "Marine" answering the call of nature, diverted flights etc. I even gave a ride to some civilians that were crossing towards nearby Ft. Bonifacio one time. So whoever took those rides are really those that can't afford commercial flights. They took the risks. During one of our whole day rehearsal, I've noticed the lone C-130 took off that day 3 times back and forth. It would just refuel and it would be packed with soldiers and passengers in less than an hour. I don't know if that overworked plane does that 7 days a week and how long it would last?

I believe there was an error in writing on the part of the reporter. Illegal use? The wives just hitched a ride. The source of the complain was from a soldier who could not wait due to the delay. Normal for some grunts who could not see what's the big picture is.

FYI, these 2 or lone C-130s flight cost so much. It's being practiced that each flight makes the most of it that is full-packed. If in every flight they could maximize cargoes whether supplies, equipment or humans (chance passengers, civilians included), they do so. It's a great savings to the PAF rather than have them use another plane exclusively for that sole purpose or buy them commercial flight tickets. With the C-130, multiple tasks and objectives were accomplished. Costs were save for a couple of minutes delay, things some people has no knowledge of and sometimes quoted by the untrained hungry for scoop reporters.

It would have been an abuse if these wives were able to use these two birds on stand-by

So, that's why reporters are being killed coz they create negative reports just to earn more money, that's why i don't trust media.

You have nothing to apologize my friend, the word illegal is "generic"and in this case, hitching a ride on a military plane by those who are not suppose to, in which the aircraft is not intended for, is still illegal.

You do not need to put restraint on yourself to express your opinion in this forum as long as it is within the bounds of it's limitations.
