Good to know.

By the way, I was comparing an ayer who graduated from the PMA around 6 years ago to a newly grad from the same institution.

Seems like a big difference. The former boasted of saying "... yayaman na tayo. dami pala pera sa Navy".

The latter through his action has shown the right mindset when he "refused to be bribed by an illegal fisherman who wanted to secure his fishing gears that were confiscated".

With this, it seems like the latter graduates are much more ......., should i say,.... mentally straightened.

That's one of those bad apples I was talking about. :fire:

If I may ask sirs, how come the term "laxitibo" became associated with the inability of a cadet to clean his combat boots?

The closest translation I can muster is "laxative" which if I'm not mistaken has nothing to do with combat boots.

The meaning given to the word "LAXITIBO" is incorrect. The word is a derivative or it evolve from the word LAX, as in "you are very LAX" which means you are sub-par from the STANDARDS. It then became, through the years, "LAKSITIBO KA".

MAGAN - From SON OF A GUN...then SANAMAGAN....to MAGAN. It means STUBBORN or can also mean STRICT.
