THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS AND MOST EXPENSIVE COLLEGE EDUCATION IN THE PHILIPPINES, 1936-1941

The Pre-WW2 Philippine Military Academy.

-Maintained a ratio of one officer instructor for every four cadets.

-there were a dozen different types of uniforms for cadets, all uniforms and equipment, down to the last ribbon and brass button were imported from the U.S.

-the full dress gray uniform was made by the same U.S. company which manufactured gray wool uniforms for West Point.

-all cadets were trained in "equitation", or horsemanship. PMA maintained a stable of high breed horses.

-Baguio was also a lot colder and whole lot nicer in those days.
