Trillanes is the gringo syndrone all over again. I guess the people are so desperate that they resort to this. Maybe its a wake up call that the people are desperate now for change. Who can help them?

It's practical. People will vote a "snake" to express anger if not to get rid of a"crocodile".

whatever the angle one looks at, Sen. Trillanes, being in the Senate will help the AFP a lot ....

.... AS LONG AS HE KNOWS HOW TO USE HIS NEWLY-ACQUIRED AUTHORITY IN SERVING THE AFP'S INTERESTS.

In his latest, Trillanes was accusing the upper chain of command of COMPROMISING the Marines who were killed and beheaded in Sulu. It is only proper that he raised that issue. But come to think of it. If Magdalo were successful in their coup d'eta and mutiny, how many hundreds of thousand PNP and AFP soldiers opposed to him should had he COMPROMISED or murdered? Do not see the speck in other people's eyes if you do not see yours.

I am appealing to the generals concerned if ever there was foul play or compromise. Magpatawaran tayo. Remember the words of God, He who does not know how to forgive is worse than a murderer and I God will never forgive.

I know of a lot of compromises from the time I began mingling with soldiers in Camp Aguinald. One PNP officer murdered a pet peeve under the guise of friendly fire. He is one of the campaign managers of Honasan. Let us let bygones be bygones. Nakikiusap ako, its not healthy for the camaraderie we have or should have. Soldiers lose their patriotic sentiments if their commanders or leaders have no concern for them.

To those in the AFP who maligned me, I assure you, I let bygones be bygones. Magpatawaran tayo. Please....

The Senate Defense Committee was right.

Let's set aside the investigation for the time being and until the operation is done.

If we do not, the soldiers morale may be weakened and may cause them to lose their focus and winning chances dimmed.

When the operation is done, we can all focus on the case and FIND A SOLUTION to prevent the repeat of the Tipo-Tipo fiasco.

Trillanes won’t cooperate with PNP over blast claims--Razon

MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine National Police failed to get a statement from Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, who claimed that the government was behind the explosion in a mall in Makati City last week to divert public attention from allegations of bribery, PNP Chief Avelino Razon said Monday.

On orders of Razon, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group went to Trillanes' detention in Marine compound in Fort Bonifacio on Saturday to investigate his allegations but the senator refused to cooperate. Trillanes is facing charges of coup d’etat for the shortlived mutiny in 2003.

"We were in the hope na ang kaniyang binitawang salita ay i-substantiate niya [that he could substantiate the statements he made] so he could assist us in the investigation," Razon told a press conference.

Police Director Edgardo Doromal, CIDG chief, said the operatives' interview with Trillanes lasted for almost three hours, as they tried to convince the senator to state the basis of his claims.

"He [Trillanes] also refused to provide a formal written statement relative to his press statement," the CIDG also said in a release.

Razon said that Trillanes' refusal to issue any statement showed that his claim was "without basis."

"This is very unfair not only to those alluded to but also to general public who voted for him...that shows what kind of person he is," said Razon.

This is an outcome of one who opens his mouth before his brain works.

Mr. Trillanes should have exercised a sound discretion and prudence before he released his personal analogy of the incident to the media. Everybody is entitled to his or her own views, but, he should have kept it to himself and leave it to the investigation to get rid of the public being polarized, and if ever he had proofs to substantiate or support his claims, he should avail himself to the proper authorities conducting the investigation, rather than showing his arrogance by snubbing the investigation.

As a senator if he deserved to be called or considered one, he should act himself as a role model by cooperating with investigators, or apologize and say sorry for opening his big mouth and spat his accusations prematurely before he could provide any single proof.

MAKATI MAYOR BINAY MET WITH TRILLANES, LIM BEFORE COUP TRIAL WALKOUT

MANILA, DECEMBER 4, 2007 (STAR) Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay was implicated yesterday in last week’s takeover of the Peninsula Manila hotel in Makati.

Sources from the intelligence community said they have received reports that Binay met with Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim at Makati City Hall Thursday morning before the two attended their trial on coup d’etat charges at the Makati Regional Trial Court.

Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno said he received a similar report, but that he has not been able confirm the information.

“But the (reported meeting) does not mean anything,” he said. “Meeting them (Trillanes and Lim) does not mean he (Binay) is an accomplice to anything.”

Trillanes and Lim later walked out of the trial and marched with armed soldiers from city hall near J.P. Rizal street to the Peninsula on the corner of Ayala and Makati Avenues.

Officials said Binay and Makati policemen were “conspicuously absent” at the height of the siege at the Peninsula at the heart of Makati’s central business district on Nov. 29.

Some of Binay’s bodyguards were reportedly at the side of Trillanes during his press conference at the Peninsula during the takeover.
