We've seen stunt pilot Bob Hoover do a repertoire of stunts using an F86F he borrowed from us at an exhibition in Clark.

Now, here we have several Hollywood stunt pilots pushing our Hueys to their limits when they were borrowed by Francis Ford Coppola from Pres. Marcos himself for the making of Apolcalypse Now

Makes you wonder if the PA/PAF experimented with such aerial assault tactics against the NPA and the MNLF.

A few of those helos could possibly still be flying or even bits of them that were canibalized as spares for more recent helos in the inventory once their service lives give out

some of the Hueys used in the film could actually still be in service up to this day. others could have ended up as spares sources or as museum pieces.

hmmmm... i love watching the Huey-Defender combo in that film. perhaps, when we have upgraded 60 to 80 percent of our UH-1H fleet and modernized our MD520MGs, we could possibly employ this tactic.

oh wait, here's a shot of Hueys attacking a "Vietnamese" village (although it was really shot in the Philippines) from "Apocalpyse Now":
