Interesting..... Chinese media said the Philippines wants to buy military equipment to maintain internal security Date:2011-08-31Author:adminCategory:China militaryComment:0 Global Network reporter Julia Tan reported, according to the British Reuters reported on December 6, Philippines and China signed an agreement of military supplies, procurement of military equipment from China to combat Philippine internal security threats. According to reports, the Philippine military said the Philippines Chief of Staff David (Ricardo David) 12 7 will fly to Beijing, and Chinese military officials, and visits to local military facilities. In addition, David will be back with the Chinese side signed a defense agreement. Reported that the talks the two sides may also involve regional security concerns such as tensions in the Korean Peninsula, and so on. reported that the Philippines is the weakest military forces in Asia Pacific countries, in part dependent on U.S. second-hand aircraft, ships and guns. In addition, the long-term ally of the Philippines or the United States and its former colonies. When asked about possible U.S. reaction to this agreement, the Philippines, a military spokesman said, gI think there will be no political influence in the Philippines armed forces is indeed a lack of funds and equipment, willing and ready to accept delivery of any country from equipment and much-needed resources, which, of course, including China. g http://www.9abc.net/index.php/archives/16335 |

This is a really bad idea. First we would be putting money into the pocket of an adversary. If there was a chance we would be able to access an item that uncle sam would be interested in then that could be a win but it is unlikely that the Chinese would sell us anything the americans have not already gotten their hands on. Second would be that anything we buy would be subject to failure or otherwise. From deliberate modifications to allow espionage or sabotage, the installation of substandard or black market parts and finally the fact that the Chinese would already know the strengths and weakness's of that particular piece of equipment and would use that against us in any future engagement. |

we can also do the other thing around... buy the chinese equipments then we let them exchange with US of a US-made equipments.. so that the americans can thoroughly study them if they are war-worthy materials...
