just a thought guys. i happened to come across the Brunei revisits light combat capability thread so this idea popped up in my mind. since the PAF is a currently lacking in funds, what if the Air Force use light combat aircraft such as the L-159 ALCA and basic and advanced jet trainers such as the MB-339CB for both air defense and precision ground strike missions? i believe that these aircraft are readily available (i do not know if the New Zealand MB-339CBs are still available despite the fact that the deal to sell the MB-339s and the A-4s did not push through) for use by our Air Force and that they are "more affordable" and "more maintainable" compared to other types. of course, i might be wrong.
