nice discussion you guys have here.. you do realize that this is the future of air combat.
the armed predator will go down to history as one of the early aplication of armed 'robot/pilotless' combatant .
that is the future of air supremacy fighters and etc..someday (some camps have went so far in saying last generation has already born) fighter pilots will be replaced with these 'robots'.
but i agree with you guys there will always be a dilema that will require a 'man in the loop' observer.

Could be CIAs too which explains the unmarked Gnat in the pic.

Another version of the I-Gnat family is the Gnat XP (Extended Performance), which was built for the CIA to replace their older Gnat-750-45s. The Gnat XP was reportedly first deployed in 1998

Can we not use the topic UAVs for the AFP by minortremor? This Phil Predator topic has been ended way back 2006. Nevertheless, just to give you info, this is the MQ1A-PREDATOR prototype which is the successor of the "Improved GNAT" used by Turkey. The MQ1B-PREDATOR started the bigger rounded-head. We have this a Zambo for recon and intel use only against the bandits, operated by combined elements of US Army and Phil Army., OWNED BY AMERICA. It has no firepower. :closed:
