AKs are in abundance in Iraq. Those security companies that hired those mercs probably got them from Saddam's own captured armories.
You may have superior weaponry, but you're out of ammo, and I've still got plenty of rocks.

This doesnt seem right.

They look more like goons that professional security personnel.

Blackwater should require them to wear their uniforms when carrying their guns in public so that they would look professional or "benign" in a way, .... and not looking like goons who were pulled out from prison or were just picked up from just anywhere.

Thats way offline flipzi. mod ka pa naman. What made you say that they look like goons? What are your standards in judging a PMC a goon?

Maybe you spent too much time associating with local pol's army of goons.
Anyone who comes to a counter-insurgency thinking it`s about killing terrorists is missing the boat. It`s really about winning the people. You can kill all the terrorists but then you`ve pissed people off and created 100 more.

I wouldn't really say that to their faces :rifle:

PMCs in Iraq and Afghanistan don't wear uniforms. They wear various civvy garments with miltary vests, LBEs, and even better boots.

The guys above are dollar-earning 'new heroes', mga bagong bayani ika nga, they deserve more forgiving comments.

Below are German PMCs, note that some also carry AKs and wear various types of clothing:

Dont get me wrong. I was just trying to protect our folks from the repercussions of irked locals.

They may have their reasons why they opted to dress like that.

We must know the reason why their employers have decided to do away with proper uniforms.

They look more like mercenaries indeed rather than just mere security forces.

Clothing them appropriately may lessen the impact of the "mercenary" tag on them.

And yes, im sorry but they do look more like goons than well-trained security forces to me.

They may even get the ire of the locals when dressed like that, since they dnt look too professional and disciplined. I am not saying that they are really like that... but they look more like it.

Not getting the ire of the locals is one sure way of protecting our fellows in Iraq.

From now, they should be required to wear proper security guard uniforms so they will not look like goons

As an added incentive, wearing of uniform can make you a chick magnet:

Pwede pa nga' :armyLol:

Seriously now, i meant a more decent outfit than casual clothing.

Siguro, typical desert BDU minus the helmet (replaced by a bullcap) and minus the fancy gadgets.
