The AFP said 37 rebels have been killed as fighting resumes. Omar Mangorsi Army troops man a checkpoint near the area where government troops and members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) clashed in Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao on Monday, January 27. The AFP said it killed 17 rebels opposed to a peace deal between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Fighting continued for a second day on January 28. AFP/Mark Navales
