Officer is carrying suppressed KG-9 assault pistol, didnt know until now that the PA issues this weapon to its officers.

wonder why he's got a suppressed weapon, low powered at that, while his men have the unmuffled M16A1s. :armyeek:

Not a true suppressor but a barrel extension w/c is a common accessory for the KG-9 for better tactical control. Note also machined vertical handgrip.

ALL ABOUT TEAMWORK AND CAMARADERIE. AFP soldiers of the Orienteering and Cross Country competition brave their way through the waves as they struggle to win in last Saturday’s game held at the Marine Base Ternate in Cavite. This activity is a part of the AFP Challenge which was launched last November 4 and will cap off with a battalion run on December 12. (PHOTO BY: SGT CABALO PA)

I'm confused... Are they Scout Rangers or Special Forces Airborne? The soldier on the left-side has an Airborne patch on his green beret and they are wearing a non-black BDU. But I know for sure that the Steyr Aug was issued to the Scout Rangers.
