:agree: i certainly agree that a commonality with the engines meant more economical and less inventory of parts (mas madali pang matutunan ng mga mechanics natin).. the AFP should, however, choose the right engines/aircraft that is applicable and economical to current budget/funds for the military :exactly:

the criteria should be the following (not in proper order):

1. in terms of capability (multi-role, etc.)
2. in terms of commonality of parts (spare parts, avionics, etc.) - less inventory
3. in terms of maintenance (less maintenance, etc.)
4. economical
5. fuel efficient and the likes...
