Philippine submarines with sub-launched missiles?

Might be rented in the disguised of being evaluated. Then used to transfer some "things" away from the frying eyes of nosy people. That's why some have seen it but up to now it's presence cannot be located.

at one point in the past, the Philippine Navy expressed its intention of buying several Cosmos Shallow Water Attack Submarines (SWATS). i don't know if such type of submarine is still being built nowadays.

however, what i am sure is that Pakistan has several Cosmos midget subs similar to SWATS:

COMMENT :

Mine laying in enemy harbour entrance and off shore routes. Frogmen attacks through exit trunk. Torpedo attack on target of opportunity.

MG 110 type built in Pakistan under supervision by Cosmos. These are enlarged SX 756 of Italian Cosmos design and have replaced the SX 404 which were acquired in 1972. Diving depth of 150 m and can carry eight swimmers with 2 tons of explosives as well as two CF2 FX 60 SDVs (swimmer delivery vehicles). Pilkington Optronics CK 39 periscopes. Reported as having a range of 1,000 n miles and an endurance of 20 days. One lost in 1995 but has been replaced.

This type of Mini-Submarine can be used for various purposes like attacking enemy units in harbour with Frogmen/Chariots, at sea with torpedoes, at shore installations by commandos etc. Other uses include mine laying, defensive barrier in shallow waters, advance pickets duties, intelligence gathering etc.
