Sulu residents recover unmanned 'spy plane' First posted 01:28pm (Mla time) Feb 16, 2006 By Julie Alipala Inquirer JOLO, Sulu -- Residents of a village in Indanao town have recovered what is apparently an unmanned spy plane, Jolo councilor Cocoy Tulawie said on Thursday. Tulawie said the aircraft crashed after hitting a coconut tree on February 10. Handing over photos of the aircraft to the Inquirer on Thursday, Tulawie said it could be a US spy plane. He said the aircraft was being kept by a villager in Indanan. The military has yet to comment on the find. http://news.inq7.net/regions/index.php?ind...&story_id=66367 I have just seen TV Patrol and this news was televised, the UAV had a wing span of 3 meters, a video camera was inside, the funny part was that the reporter quoted the plane as a P3 Orion ???!!! |

This must be what the Americans are searching for? Maybe for almost a week now....I believe there is a good pay that comes with the returning of this UAV since this aircraft contained vital information for the US. With regards to the reporter, I guess mediamen should be intelligent & familiar with some Military Stuff. Its embarassing to call the UAV as P3 Orion.....For sure they will be laugh by those who are familiar with it... |

Would that plane happen to be the Raven? It's a compact UAV designed to give troops an added eye in the field![]() |

can someone tell those defense journalists to go to defense forums such as the PDFF and the PDF so that they can distinguish the P-3 Orion from that UAV?!
