I believe that for such a project to take off both private and government sector should work together from the very beginning. Taking into consideration the past and recent actions done, any move by one alone would most likely result in failure. Take for example the idea of using alternative fuels for transports. We have a lot of locally-developed and sourced alternatives such as the hybrid petrol-hydrogen engine that has been tested and approved by the DOST. An electric car too made here and it wouldn't be hard to produce a hybrid version equal or better to the Toyota Prius. And these all began with private initiative but no official or government office fully supports it. And if we factor in those past discoveries that coco fuel could replace petrols - heck, during the Japanese occupation our resistance movements used 'tuba' to fuel their automobiles - we shouldn't be this dependent on petrol. Some successes that can be highlighter would be those windmills in Ilocos where both private and government worked together. On projects that the government undertook, the Defiant and Hummingbird are just some which are promising yet met a fate as tragic as their designer. As one said, when the powers that are changed so did the priorities. One possible additional factor is outside pressure. If America would continue suggesting that such a project be prioritized and continued maybe it would help keep things in track. I'm hoping that with our views, to balance things and see those missed info, we can help our officials to see the need. And when they request that that need be answered we can present too to the local businessmen the importance and benefits of investing in such a project. As for my idea for a capable MRF, I would want it to be simple yet capable fighter as the F-20 yet exhibit the design derived from combat experience of the Lavi yet has fourth generation designing in it to make it easy to upgrade. |

Command is about authority, about appointment to a position. Effective leadership is different. It must be learned and practiced in order for it to rise to the level of art. You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader. You can certainly command without that sense of commitment but you cannot lead without it; and without leadership, command is a hollow experience. .. a vacuum often filled with mistrust and ignorance. I've just seen and read some reports about the F-20 and have to say that I'm really impressed. They are the ones we really need at the moment until we someday can purchase even better MRFs. |

"THE BEST PARENT AND GUARDIAN OF LIBERTY AMONGST MEN IS TRUTH" ~ Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei “When learned men begin to use their reason, then I generally discover that they haven’t got any.” - G. K. Chesterton MSantor is not a man of sound reason. Savages have always preferred the club for they know that they are powerless against the pen. But who is the greater fool - the savage or the one that gives him power? May Truth rebuke you. | |
