I would prefer the AT50 to meet our requirements for an LCA.

Aside from its supposed ruggedness, reliabilty it has the performance specs (hitting supersonic) that would allow it to meet our requirements for an MRF should the government veto plans to procure MRFs in 2015.

However, what we need the most out of an LCA more than performance and versatility would have to be ruggedness and low maintenance costs. the frame should also be easily upgradable.

Knowing the ever-changing nature of the RP's political and national security situation, procurement plans are always in danger of being downscaled or axed due to changes in priorities or other deverlopments. We might as well get something that we can use for several decades like the F5 and the T33.

The LCA may be the only fast jet we will ever fly in the next 30-50 years knowing how weird the situation can get in this country.

With this in mind, the L159 is also a good choice.

i would prefer the L159 and/or the MB-339 for our immediate LCA requirement, i think this is the best possible solution as for both jet trainer and light attack aircraft that is readily available (also includes ruggedness, low maintenance cost, and upgradable airframe)... atleast our pilots hindi mabobobo sa paglipad ng jet aircraft before the MRF arrives (yun e kung darating nga sa 2015, or even longer pa, depeding sa budget...)
