Philippine Air Force is to receive precission guided weapons in the next couple of weeks, in light of current events.

What type of 'guided-weapons'? Are we finally talking about missiles, or the more primitive kites that are guided with threads?

it could be the new 70mm precision rockets that are actually mini-missiles since they have guidance now plus they are cheap.

I think it is this: DAGR 70mm guided rocket.

Not too bad at all plus they can arm our choppers with that mini missiles, if that indeed the guided weapons they are talking about - not a bad start too. But they are not an anti-ship missiles, but will atleast may inflict some damage at any chinese ship's radar tower installation. :armyLol:

According to the video posted by marschall, it can be used against light-armored vehicles and can also be launched from both aircrafts and boats, probably any ships but it cannot destroy a bigger hull ships. Perhaps it can scare enough away those chinese fishing boats.

What about low-flying planes? Is it not true that radar detection is only possible from a certain altitude? So have them fly low, close-in the enemy vessel and BAM!

I wonder if they can be used on subs? As in: submerge, close-in, surface, let the launchers go out and fire.
