You sure do know my daughter, judiel. How did you know? Do you also know that she is subject of legal precedent for 24 hour lucid interval. That she preaches correct deportment in the workplace like "you should not raise your voice..."That she's diabolically scheming sometimes and 24 hours a day intend to wreckk herself and others. That she had a lot of people fired by way of ingratiating herself to the master. She helps me when I am Left and leaves me alone to do it myself when I'm right. Discrimination based on creed. Her reply? "We're all racists!" F*%g daughter.You must not be 15 years old! You must be intel.

i am not an advocate of hazing nor maltreatment - (also, they are not the same)

a cadet will not be hazed if he can cope up to the level of expectation of his upperclassmen. the senior class cadets have undergone thru the same transformation (civ to mil life) and knows it can be done.

the seniorclass cadets have the duty to transform the plebe into a cadet, he has to try everything to teach this person on the matters /manners/way of life of a cadet which is very much different from a civilian life. each move has its reasons.

if the seniorclass cadet have exhausted all his means to teach the person and still the person refuses to learn , "mato" in cadets lingo / OR is a very slow learner , then he has no choice but to put pressure on the plebe in order for him to absorb the information or knowledge being taught to him.

this is when , sometimes, the pressure turns to hazing, when the senior loses control of himself and inflicts bodily harm to the "mato" plebe. this is then not acceptable . A cadet found guilty of hazing is discharged from the academy, no ifs nor buts.

maltreatment is a totally different subject

flipzi my friend i liken what you said to "rape when done right asserts one's manhood"...to "erotomania when manifested early on improves one's sociability with the opposite sex"...to "war when kept up long enough paves the way to peace"...to "slander when committed without malice is defending one's honor verbally"...how can HAZING be done RIGHT?...is there a WRONG way to do it?...if the RIGHT way STRENGTHENS brotherhood i am frightened of WHAT the WRONG way will result in...just a little segue...ping lacson'71 was asked sometime ago..."sir na-haze ba kayo?"...he smiles uncomfortably but smiles nevertheless "eh siguro naman wala na ako sa academy pwede ko ng sabihin"...so you were hazed sir?...this time a big grin "oo naman"...sir did you also haze underclassmen?...and this time laughter..."sige na nga...oo naman...eh turno turno lang naman 'yun eh"...it sounded to me like he panfilo morena lacson actually breezed through hazing hehehehe...but flipzi...that strengthening brotherhood part...ask any ayer...the upperclassmen almost always NEVER remember their underclassmen...you know why?...a class '81 told me "ikaw ba naman TATANDAAN mo pa yung HINE-HAZING MO sa dami nun? yung NAG-HAZE sa 'yo SIGURADONG TATANDAAN mo" hehehehehe...haaaay buhay kadete...utak kadete...kaya hayan...mga heneral na...astang kadete pa rin....hehehehehe! :lollol:

icorrect lang natin... walang hazing sa AFP o sa PMA... hazing was already defined by the law. to all posters please be guided by the definition of hazing by the REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8049

Section 1. Hazing, as used in this Act, is an initiation rite or practice as a prerequisite for admission into membership in a fraternity, sorority or organization by placing the recruit, neophyte or applicant in some embarrassing or humiliating situations such as forcing him to do menial, silly, foolish and other similar tasks or activities or otherwise subjecting him to physical or psychological suffering or injury.
The term "organization" shall include any club or the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Military Academy, or officer and cadet corp of the Citizen's Military Training and Citizen's Army Training. The physical, mental and psychological testing and training procedure and practices to determine and enhance the physical, mental and psychological fitness of prospective regular members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police as approved ny the Secretary of National Defense and the National Police Commission duly recommended by the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Director General of the Philippine National Police shall not be considered as hazing for the purposes of this Act.
