And you can see the outcome of that impatience everyday when you tune yourself to the daily news on TV or any other media.

:agree:

I can see that too.

Another good example of negative effects of impatience:

Being unable to wait for the result of things, making a call, forgetting about delicadeza due to lapse of judgement. End result? A troubled country. :dunno:

what have you actually done positively for the country?

First you come strutting into a discussion where you do not know anybody. Then you announce that you find this forum degrading and that you are a member of an elite group. You even have the temerity to look down at our friends from ROTC. Then you fault the members whom you do not even know for criticizing PMA. Do you think you are god's gift to humanity?

Then you have the nerve to question what I have done for my country as if it has any bearing on this thread. Why are you attacking me you arrogant little squirt? If you cannot control being onion skinned then you don't have any business being here. Stay in your tedaks forum with your itsy, bitsy, cutesy girly friends. We discuss serious things here.

Like it or not, PMA will always be the object of criticism. It has long been criticized in this forum but it hasn't affected me the way it has affected you. This is just a forum. Get yourself a sense of humor and learn to laugh at yourself. If you cannot keep your emotions in check, good luck when you join the service.

I will have you report every free time in athletic uniform, full combat gear, with inverted combat boots and make you exercise until you die. On second thought, never mind. You don't do those things anymore, wuss.

I would like to apologize for this offending post. Although I don't have any idea as to the identity of the poster, I believe that his views are indeed misguided.

Cadets do not look upon themselves as an elite group, above everybody else. We do not look down upon anyone, whatever their background or source of commission may be. We do not think we are God's gift to humanity, but I must concede that there are cadets who are under the illusion that they might be God's gift to women. However, I am inclined to believe that this did not start from the current batch of cadets or from any recent PMA class..

I am sorry for the fact that your character and/or accomplishments are being questioned by someone who still needs to learn a lot of things about this world. I would like to apologize for the immaturity displayed by this person. I understand that he may have been overwhelmed with emotion when he read the posts here and he was hurt. That is no excuse for his actions, I know, but at least we may understand why he said those things.

But I would like it to be known that we are not arrogant little squirts. Rash, foolhardy maybe but definitely not arrogant little squirts or wusses.

We can take criticism positively, whether they be constructive criticisms or not. I believe that criticisms are a healthy part of our growth and development as induviduals and as future officers of the AFP.

PMA has long been attacked and criticized, most of the time, unfairly. That, however, is no reason for cadets to become an elitist group of immature individuals. It is also not enough of a reason for cadets to respond negatively to criticisms from our elders, who only have the best interests of the AFP in mind when they make those criticisms. The expectations on PMA cadets is so high because of the rare privilege given to us. For that, we should be thankful and determined to give all our effort to help the AFP and the country. Cadets of PMA are looked upon as future leaders not only of the AFP but also of the country. This may be attributed to the noteworthy accomplishments of our predecessors, the alumni or cavaliers. As such, we are not in any position to question their accomplishment at this point. It is but right to heed the counsel of the elders, for they have the benefit of experience and wisdom that age brings.

Dead link.

They must have took down their forum because of the criticisms here.

Pardon me, but PMAers are trained to fight not to perfect the English language or perfect English composition. Leading a group of low ranking soldiers as lieutenant is an art in itself and it needs the talent of a creative person. There were no solutions in Victor Corpus' book SILENT WAR. It was up to the newly graduate of PMA to discover them. And for that, the PMAer must be admired just like the soldiers in this forum.
