South Korea's defense chief offered to step down Wednesday to take responsibility for a disgruntled soldier's killing of eight coleagues nar the border with North Korea, an official said. Def Min Yoon Kwang-Woong offered to resign to take responsibility over the incident," a defense ministry official told AFP. On Sunday, a SK soldier threw a hand grenade into his barracks inside the DMZ which bisects the Korean Peninsula and then oopened fire, killing 8 soldiers including his platoon leader and wounding 2 others. ---- our difference from other countries... |
