yes i think our F-8H carried the AIM 9B :link
why did you asked?
the 9B served with the F8 in USN starting in the 1950's but i think we got ours for our F-5s but was also used later for our F-8 in the 1970s. please correct me if im wrong.
the AIM-9B is a very old/limited sidewinder. if we still have stocks and is in very good condition, i think it could still be upgraded or rebuilt. hopefully something useful like 9N/P.

The USN markings on those F8's are painted on when they made the movie about the cuban crisis sometime back. It starred Kevin Costner can't remember the title though.

what is the defence budget of the PH that PH cannt still buy ac

man i have been here for 6 years no ac have been bought

as far as i know 1 billion USD Dfe BUD, how about now for 2006 what is the Defence budget

what i know if PH cannt afford the expensive ac not even 25 millions USD

like F16 AB about 3 to 5 to 8 millions USD i think PH can afford that

USA will give a good offer

pride u say well thats history poor F8s just like that i mean it would be parper to brun then or sold them with a heros death i mean this things save and serve our nation and this is the thanks they get wow just unbeliveble the poor waste up plane it just makes me want to cry :armysad:

well man like all 3rd generation Aircraft new models cames out to replace them and since the Mt pinatubo eruption it stayed in the ground for good ya ur right the F8 is or best fighter

Sad part is that is , it was never replaced. It was retired with out a replacement, the F-5s were not replacements since they were operating along side the F-8s. :armysad:
