Why would the RTN help the Philippines, what's in it for them? Unless there are untapped natural resources in those island.

perhaps it would be nice to see the PN and the RTN have full cooperation on a variety of areas ranging from varying naval strategies to clamping down on terrorism, piracy and poaching, right? :armywink:

i think if we are attacked by a huge and capable enemy (like for example china) and there is a U.N. mandate that needed international forces to quell such attck/invasion then i think thailand will help us, it is within their decision if they are going to help us and/or participate for the U.N. forces or not.

Ya about what phichanad said Earlier about the philippine army and air force is ture and mostly the navy since its just a half WW2 vintage ships from the US and a few 21st century ship that don't even have missiles or latest tech on them unlike the thai's (i don't know about the thai's) but in technology thailand is a head from the Philippines but in combat Experience we top the list , the question now is if war broke out between the Philippines and china can the thai's help us? or war broke out with malaysia or vietnam the other claimmers of the Kalayaan islands (well i am nationalistic about those island and its a filippino give name so its cool) so can thailand side with the RP if war broke out with the states that i mention ?????? thanks and peace out troops :salute: :patrioticpinoy:

ever man for himself when the Chinks start a ruckuss. ASEAN would just dissolve. Don't worry GI Joe will help us from China.
