What's wrong with the King taking control of Thailand? He's not abusive unlike other kings. If a lot of those who got hurt forgave (or accepted the terms) the Emperor of Japan (and so too a lot of Nazi leaders) then, why not a respectable leader like the Thailand's king? In my opinion, it was a good thing that there was someone there looking out for the welfare of his people.

A lot say that the deposed Thai PM shouldn't be deposed as he was like Erap, very makamasa. That those who want the Thai PM out are just like Erap - those in the Metro. Does this mean that we too shouldn't have kicked out Erap then? Although many regret (?!) deposing Erap and replacing him with GMA it was a good thing and judgment too. I will not elaborate further my reasons (although I have witnesses who can prove Erap never stole any public funds while as president) but he was already getting too big for his own good. The people in the provinces and slums due to the controlled press (yes, a lot are still kowtowing to leaders to survive and of course profit) plus lack of education are blind to the truth. The same, if I'm right, reflects what happened to Thailand.

Now, Thai is rebounding back to its formal strong form. Who can then say what they did was wrong. They are recovering faster than what happened to us - it took years for GMA to get us back on our feet although often a serious blow brought by the opposition and dissatisfied majority of the populace causes those advances to reel back or halt. Shouldn't that be an example and a lesson for us? Maybe not to emulate, like another kudeta which will surely wreck our country into a possible civil war considering both sides are already massing their private armies, but to learn from their mistakes.

Besides, hindi lang Thailand ang may problema sa kudeta. Even the US almost suffered a similar fate years ago. It was only through proper action and the fact that the populace are armed and cannot be easily dictated upon to accept what many would perceive as wrong (this is why I advocate that we have the right to bear arms so that abusive officials will think twice before abusing their powers) that stopped it.

Considering the unwidely spread reports from China about them abusing those wanting more freedom and crying against abuses, we shouldn't be siding with the ChiComs them if we are to reflect on such views. Pero, di ba kakampi pa (pweh) natin per government dictate ang mga ChiComs. A lot of Pinoys are even there working and improving ChiComs lives instead of Pinoys lives.
Command is about authority, about appointment to a position. Effective leadership is different. It must be learned and practiced in order for it to rise to the level of art. You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader. You can certainly command without that sense of commitment but you cannot lead without it; and without leadership, command is a hollow experience. .. a vacuum often filled with mistrust and ignorance.

a Philippine-Thai Military cooperation will always be a good thing for both sides. Within the ASEAN, the best ties are always between Thailand and the Philippines. I even have a Thai uncle, and of course half-thai half-filipino cousins.

The only problem that might be encountered will be the language barrier, I have noticed that most Thais speak english in a very hard-to-understand way (maybe because of their high-tone language)...just my opinion... and the other would be the equipment barrier. The Philippine militrary lacks almost every equipment even compared to the Thais. Maybe in the army training, we can keep up. But with air force and naval.....maybe a bit.

Nope. GMA sucks dahil ibinenta niya ang kaluluwa niya sa mga demonyo just to survive and arrive at her ambition. She has a good motive for reaching such post pero dahil she has to bargain with the devils that are around her wala siyang nagagawang mabuti. This is why I support yet despise her. If I did not, hindi ko na siya nilapitan tungkol sa proposals ko. I even PM her advises and sometimes may reply rin naman na TY. Same thing I do with those sa opposition.

Kaya ko lang napalapad ang defense ko sa Thai king is with regards to some views about Ma'am Sirikittong's views and suggestions for us. Hindi ko naman sinasabi akong maalam but gusto ko lang ibahagi ang experience ko with regards to such.

And about the possible language barrier hindi ganun kalaki ang problema. A lot of them, like us, meron rin matigas ang dila at meron rin naman hindi. Besides, kung kinakailangan why not use an electronic translator PLUS learn each other's language. Meron nang quick learning tool developed for such na downloadable sa web. Besides, I use my PDA to learn and translate things in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German, Russian, Thai (!), Italian and Spanish (kasi alam ko lang mga mura in those languages :drunk: ) kung kinakailangan sa trabaho (and learning value kapag walang ginagawa).

Why would the RTN help the Philippines, what's in it for them? Unless there are untapped natural resources in those island.
